    ⒉"I feel so tired these days."" I think you'd better…"

    ⒊"Of course, she never stops talking. She is one of the most…"

    You can see from the above three examples that the context (上下文) helps a lot in understanding what is being talked about. So "guessing "is very important in understanding English, especially (尤其)spoken English.

A、the importance of "guessing " in learning a foreign language B、how to guess what one is going to talk about C、some examples of right guessing D、how important it is to guess all the time

(4)、Maybe the finished answer in EXAMPLE 3 is ______.
A、"… she is one of the most famous film stars." B、"…she is one of the most beautiful women." C、"… she is one of the most famous speakers." D、"… she is one of the most talkative women."

What would you do if you see someone hurt badly? The following will help you to learn some important skills to give casualty (伤员) first aid.

{#blank#}1{#/blank#}

The first and most important thing you must do is to make sure the place is not dangerous. Can you see anything that might not be helpful to you? Can you hear anything that could be dangerous?

{#blank#}2{#/blank#}

When you see someone has been hurt, you may feel scared. If you feel yourself starting to be nervous, try to calm yourself down. For example, talk to people you trust about what happened, and you'll be relaxed.

{#blank#}3{#/blank#}

When someone needs first aid, talking to him will help him to stay calm and feel safe. Even if he does not answer you, you should still tell him what you are doing. It will let him know that you are helping him.

{#blank#}4{#/blank#}

Sometimes, the casualty will need more help than you are able to give. The best thing you can do is to phone some people for help. They can give you some useful advice or offer you some help.

{#blank#}5{#/blank#}

There are also many other things to do. Try your best to help the casualty. Asking people around you for help is really better than waiting for doctors. Besides, you can also try to keep in touch with his families and friends.

A. Calling for Help.

B. Being Calm.

C. Shouting for Help.

D. Keeping Talking.

E. Staying Safe.

It is said that Harbin's {#blank#}2{#/blank#} comes from a Manchu(满族的)word that means "a place for drying fishing nets". It is the capital of Heilongjiang Province and one of the {#blank#}3{#/blank#} cities in northeast China.

The city developed {#blank#}4{#/blank#} with the arrival of the Chinese Eastern Railway. The railway {#blank#}5{#/blank#} it to the outside world. especially Russia. This made preparations for Harbin's future development of its {#blank#}6{#/blank#} culture where East meets West.

"I don't like my parents. They always tell me I should do this and should not do that. It sometimes makes me angry,"said Zhang Hua,a middle school student in Guangzhou. Perhaps your parents had the same complaints when they were your age long ago. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}

One possible reason is when your father or mother becomes a parent,he/she likes worrying about things. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} They worry about your choice of friends,the food you eat,your work at school,how much sleep you get,etc. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} With such hope,they will do everything they can for you.

{#blank#}4{#/blank#} It's easier than you think. Just make sure your parents know what you're doing. Get them to know your friends. Phone them if you stay somewhere else late so that your parents don't call every friend in the phone book looking for you. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} Learn to take responsibility for mistakes. Talk about your ideas with them. They may talk about theirs with you in return.

Try to understand your parents. They are also practicing being parents and need help from you. They may make mistakes sometimes,but they are the person who love you always!

A. They wish you to grow up healthily and happily.

B. When you make mistakes,be brave to say sorry to them.

C. Why do some parents seem not so friendly in children's eyes?

D. So what can you do to better your relationship with your parents?

E. They worry about everything about you from the time you were born.

①Some people think that we aren't really able to form memories before our fourth or fifth birthdays. But scientists say this is untrue. They think we form memories at a very young age. However, the memories seem to change as we get older.

②Researchers in Newfoundland, Canada, interviewed 140 children aged between 4 and 13. First, they asked the children to describe their earliest memory and tell their ages. Next, they asked their parents to make sure the event actually happened. All the answers were recorded. The researchers waited for two years before they went back to the children and asked them again," What's your earliest memory?"

③Nearly all the children were aged between 4 and 7 in the first interview. They said something very different in the second interview. However, many of the children who were between 10 and 13 at the first interview described exactly the same memory in the second interview. This seems to suggest that our memories change in the early years, but at around the age of ten, they make the things that we remember fixed.

④The researchers are now looking into why children remember certain events and not others. We sometimes think that most first or early memories are about very stressful things that happened to us as children, because bad things stand out in our minds. But in this study, stressful things were only a small part of what the children said they remembered. More often, children's early memories were happy ones. The researchers are trying to work out the reasons. We can surely look forward to more fascinating discoveries about memories in the near future.

ChatGPT is a new type of robot. It was created by OpenAI in San Francisco. It understands human languages and can talk to people too. ChatGPT can answer questions,recognize mistakes,challenge wrong settings,and say no to improper requests by having conversations.

GPT stands for Generative Pre-trained Transformer. Elon Musk,the person behind it,says,"ChatGPT is amazing but also a bit scary because it presents a challenge. " Experts say that within just two months of its release(发行),ChatGPT has got 100 million users.

ChatGPT is good at both talking and listening. It can be serious or funny,depending on the situation. For example,if you say,"Tell me a lie(谎言),"ChatGPT might reply,"The sky is made of green cheese. "Then,if you say,"That's not a good lie. Tell me more lies,"ChatGPT might playfully say,"I am actually a human. "Besides conversations,this AI chatbot can even write emails and papers. Surprisingly,it can also create poems and stories. ChatGPT can also help with writing code quickly and correctly. Maybe one day,it could even work as a top engineer.

However,some experts say that ChatGPT might be improved to answer questions which it hasn't been trained on. And Some schools in the US,Australia and France have banned(禁止) the use of ChatGPT. They worry that the tool could make it easier for students to cheat on homework and tell others incorrect information.

But Bhaskar Vira from the University of Cambridge,said that bans on AI software like ChatGPT are not wise. "We have to know that AI is a tool people will use. What we need to do is 'adapt(适应) our learning,teaching and examinations'. That way,we can be honest while using the tool. "

In my eyes,ChatGPT doesn't completely change our lives or cause bad influence on schools. It shows that AI has entered a new time instead. What do you think?Will ChatGPT replace human beings?
