Jim Green is a student in No. 5 Middle School. He does a part-time 1because he needs some2. He works in a supermarket after3from Monday to Friday and all4on Saturday. He helps people look after their kids and he plays 5kids. He thinks it is great6. After school, he7a bus to the supermarket. He8there at about 4: 30. He works94: 30 to 8: 30. He gets 10 at 9: 30. Jim likes his job very much.

    Life is full of unexpected. 1 a cold winter afternoon, a man saw an old lady standing by her expensive car and clearly she needed help. So he stopped and 2 his old truck. "Is he going to hurt me? He doesn't look safe," the old lady was 3.

    The man could see that she was afraid, so he said in his friendliest voice, "I'm here to help you, madam. Why don't you 4 in the car where it's warm? By the way, my name is Ted Johnson." Ted quickly fixed the car and the lady thanked him. The she asked 5 she could pay him.

    But Ted wanted no money. He was just giving a hand to someone in trouble. 6 was normal for him to do such a thing like that. He said. " If you really want to repay（报答）me , next time you see someone in need, think of me and help them."

    After saying goodbye, the lady continued down the road until she reached a small 7 where she decided to stop for something to eat. As the pretty waitress took her order, the lady noticed she was nearly eight months pregnant（怀孕）. The waitress looked tired and week, 8 she was very kind. As the lady was going to pay the $10 bill, she remembered Ted's words.

    After the lady was gone, the waitress saw a small note on the table. It said, "Somebody once helped me the way I'm helping you. Continue being kind to other people." Under the note were five 9 dollars.

    The waitress was 10 excited that she called her husband to tell him the news, "Ted…Ted Johnson my dear… you're not going to believe what just happened…"

    One day, when a successful businessman opened the door of his car, a dog sleeping 1his car suddenly came out and bit (咬) his leg!  He threw a stone at the dog,2he was not able to hit it. How angry he was!

    Upon3his office, the businessman called a meeting of the workers. He took out his anger(愤怒) on them. Gradually, the businessman's anger4the company.

    The businessman was still angry after returning home. His wife asked him, "Why are you so late today?" The man5, "I didn't go to the office to play soccer. I went to work. So don't ask such stupid questions!"

    His wife was troubled about being shouted at6. She turned her anger on their son who was watching TV. "This is all you do. You have no 7 in studying!  Turn off the TV now!" she shouted.

    The son became8as well. He walked out of his house and saw a dog passing by. He picked up a stone and threw it at the dog9. The dog ran away, barking(犬吠) in pain.

    Sometimes, when we are angry about something, we might take out our anger on 10. We should learn to control our anger.

    A poor young man named Liang lived in a small Chinese town. One night, an old man visited Liang in a dream. He gave Liang a brush.

    "Use this magic brush to help the 1." he said," but don't use it to help people who are rich and greedy (贪婪地), or the skill will leave your 2 and you will never paint again."

    When Liang3, he found the brush lying on the table by his bed. He painted a butterfly and was 4 to see it fly off the paper.

    Liang went out of his house and started to paint for the people in need. He painted food for 5 people and clothes for the people who were cold.

    However, a rich man heard about the brush and asked Liang to paint some gold for him but Liang didn't 6.

    "If you don't paint for me, I'll cut your fingers off," the rich man said, "Then you will never 7again."

    So Liang painted an island of 8 in the middle of a blue sea.

    "How will I 9the island?" asked the rich man. Liang painted a boat for the rich man, who got in it and went on his way toward the island.

    But when the rich man was halfway there, Liang painted a 10 in one side of the boat. The boat sank into the water and nobody ever saw him again.

     "Hi! John." Mary ran towards me with a bright smile, saying. "I'm going to have a dance performance tonight. I hope you'll come. Here is the ticket. Don't forget!" Then she left in a hurry. "What? Dance? Is that1?" I asked myself. Mary was not such a kind of girl. She was quite common one. I had never seen her wearing colorful clothes. In fact, she really did not know how to dress up. What a terrible thing!

    "I should go to, I must go to." I thought.

    I arrived at the hall with the ticket, found my 2 and sat down. Her performance was the seventh one. I knew I would have a 3 time before her turn, for I had no sense of art, but her performance was worth watching, no matter how long I would wait.

    Time went4I tried my best not to fall asleep.

    Just then, came the words, "Let's welcome the next exciting dance - Latin!"

    Hearing this, I opened my eyes as large as possible, fearing to lose anything. Wearing a golden and shining skirt, Mary appeared. She5with a sweet smile, looking like a pretty butterfly flying. I could hardly believe my eyes.

    After the performance was over, I waited for her at the gate.

    "Hi!" She stood in front of me with her crystal（水晶）shoes. "How do you feel?" "Fantastic!" I answered.

    "Ha, ha. I knew 6 would be." She could not hide her excitement, laughing like a child. At the time, I realized that every girl has a pair of special shoes which are like the crystal shoes of Cinderella.
