In Hangzhou, borrowing books from the library is now as simple as shopping online: click, pay {#blank#}1{#/blank#} wait for delivery.

    The city's public library recently launched a program on WeChat,{#blank#}2{#/blank#} popular Chinese messaging software, enabling its readers to check out books online and get them {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (deliver) to their homes at low prices.

    To enjoy the “Hangzhou enjoyable reading” service, one first needs to follow the library's official WeChat account, {#blank#}4{#/blank#} provides a list of books. After picking books, borrowers are required  {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (present)the information such as their library membership cards, cell phone numbers and so on. The selected items will be delivered by express within three days after payments. Each reader can borrow up to 5 books once and 20 books at most {#blank#}6{#/blank#} total. The books can be borrowed for up to 40 days. Reading now can borrow the library's most popular books in this way. The online books will be renewed and enriched {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (gradual) according to readers' borrowing habits and {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (prefer). At the end of December, the library's old and classic books {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (put) online too, making the total number of books available and bringing borrowers a lot of {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (convenient)

    This summer I travelled from noisy Beijing to Wuzhen, a beautiful village in Zhejiang Province. Unfolded before me was {#blank#}1{#/blank#} unique image of this water country—the stone bridge and the water flowing, all like fairy tales to me.

    Jin Hanmiao,a first grader from China,received a reply letter from Buckingham Palace{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(recent) after writing to introduce the China-Britain express railway service.

    The letter is based{#blank#}2{#/blank#}the 19-day journey of the first China-U.K.freight（货运）train.{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(see) the news of its return to Yiwu,Jin's mother encouraged him to write about it and then send the letter to Queen ElizabethⅡ.

    One day, I was walking in the street when I noticed a woman {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(come) up to me with a nervous smile and said,“Sir, can you help a person out? I haven't eaten for almost two days.” I handed {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(she) a few quarters and watched her walk away.

    An Italian town will pay people hundreds of euros(欧元) per year if they cycle to work instead of{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(drive) their cars. The government will pay{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(cycle)25 cents per kilometre, up to a monthly limit of 50 euros. That means commuters(通勤者)who switch to two wheels could pocket up to 600 euros in a year. It is said to be the first such plan in Italy.
