In many European countries it is normal to have a long break in the middle of the day when all members of the family return to their houses to eat together. This is not very {#blank#}1{#/blank#} in Britain because normally it is a long way from the place of work or school to the home. The {#blank#}2{#/blank#} people often have a big breakfast before they go to work and the meal at midday is not{#blank#}3{#/blank#} _with the members of the family but with workmates or schoolmates. Lunch is normally{#blank#}4{#/blank#} between 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm. Most people finish work at five thirty. It often take at _{#blank#}5{#/blank#} an hour to get home from the school or workplace so people eat their meal {#blank#}6{#/blank#} "dinner" between 6:30 pm and 9 pm.
On Sundays people don't have to work so they take the {#blank#}7{#/blank#} to eat together with their family. Sunday lunch is {#blank#}8{#/blank#} the best meal of the week and many of the meals which are considered real British food are eaten for Sunday lunch, such as roast beef and pudding.
{#blank#}9{#/blank#} everyone in Britain understands that "breakfast" is the first meal of the day, there is a lot of confusion(混乱) about the words for other meals such as "dinner, lunch, tea, high tea, elevenses, brunch, supper". And if you ask a British person what these words {#blank#}10{#/blank#} , most of them will give you a different answer according to what part of the country they are from.

Fifteen years later, newspaper had new stories about the "something". A mountain climber said he had seen the "{#blank#}4{#/blank#}" walk slowly across the snow, far below him. He said it looked like a very large man.

    From then on, more and more people had stories to tell. But not until 1951 did a mountain climber bring back of large footprints. "The pictures showed clearly {#blank#}5{#/blank#} the Snowman walked on two legs." So it was not a bear or a monkey. Could it be an ape man? The mystery grew! And the mystery keeps growing. Some day we may {#blank#}6{#/blank#} what it is that makes the large footprints.
