E.       An unforgettable running exercise

{#blank#}1{#/blank#}

Hello, I'm Tom. I remember at on time, when we were running on the playground, I was too tired to go on. As I wanted to give up, some of my classmates cheered me up. My classmates' encouragements helped me finish the run. I'll never forget it.

{#blank#}2{#/blank#}

Hello, I'm Mary. When I was in Grade One, I didn't prepare well for an English contest. I said sorry to my teacher. He said:” Any opportunity is important. You should never give it up easily.” Later on, I made good use of every opportunity. I'll never forget him.

{#blank#}3{#/blank#}

 Hi, I'm Lucy. The time I traveled to Qingdao with my classmates was the most unforgettable experience. We swam in the sea and caught crabs on the beach. We played games and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. I will never forget that trip.

{#blank#}4{#/blank#}

 Hi, I'm Jim. I took part in the red song competition with my classmates last year. Every day, we rehearsed very hard in order to get a good result. Because of our hard work, we achieved a good result in the completion.

{#blank#}5{#/blank#}

  In which part of a magazine can you most probably read this passage?

A.School Time                      B. Learning Program

B.Reading Fun                      D. Question Time

下面文章中有五处需要添加小标题,请从以下选项(A、B、C、D、E和F)中选出符合各段意思的小标题,选项中有一项是多余选项。

A. Arguments are useless

B.  Parents help us grow better.

C.  Everyone's opinion counts.

D.  Doing housework is wonderful.

E.  Learn to control our emotions.

F.  Deal with the bad situation better.

    There always comes a moment when I wonder where I will end up and this moment always gives me a life lesson. These are the lessons that I wish I'd learned earlier: {#blank#}1{#/blank#}     There was a time when everyone's opinion was mine as well. Remember that your opinion matters just as much as the next guy's, whether they make more money than you or are less popular than you. Everyone's opinion holds the same weight. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}     When I was a teenager, I'd be angry and go crazy if I had heard someone said bad things behind my back. Looking back on those memories now, I'm not too surprised. After all, when you have little self-control, anything is possible.  {#blank#}3{#/blank#}     Will one small quarrel among friends decide the development of the friendship? In my world it felt like it. I just wanted so much to be right and for them so much to be wrong. It only resulted in me wasting my time and in the other person storming off in frustration. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}     I'm not saying every parent knows what's the best for kids, but in general, parents do what they do to help us know how to look after ourselves. My parents used to make me do the dishes, cook dinner, sweep the floors, take out the garbage…Now I can take better care of myself.  {#blank#}5{#/blank#}     Whenever I'd lose a friend, get an awful grade, or disappoint my parents, I feel terrible. Fortunately, I know now that we don't have to be stuck in bad situations. We can go out and create better ones. It all depends on how you see the situation.

               How Can You Create Luck in Everyday Life?

 You can probably agree that some people have more good things happening to them. Let's just call that luck. Now, would you like to learn how to be one of these luck people? Here are 5 tips for creating your own luck.

{#blank#}1{#/blank#}

It is easy to believe that you never have any luck in everyday life if you don't seem to be getting any breaks. But having had a difficult life gives you unusual lessons and develops courage.

{#blank#}2{#/blank#}

Some people are already lucky, and they just don't know it. Instead of giving all your attention to what you are short of, look at how lucky you already are. You no doubt have some wonderful friends, family, a roof over your head.

{#blank#}3{#/blank#}

Luck doesn't just happen upon us — it comes to us when we're open. Learning a new skill, visiting a new place and trying a new hobby are all great ways of creating your chances.

{#blank#}4{#/blank#}

You'll never create any luck if yo sit there waiting for it to fall into your lap. Take steps towards your goals and dreams and greet every challenge. You will find you create more luck in everyday life.

{#blank#}5{#/blank#}

Sometimes people would be prepared to help us out.If you need a hand with dealing with something, rather than waiting for someone to offer you a lucky break, go and ask them if they will help you out.

补全短文。根据短文内容,从短文后的A-F选项中,选出5个适当的选项补全短文。

Try to help your dog relax

    It's a Saturday morning. You rush through breakfast, walk the dog, and then get to soccer practice on time. A few hours later, you return home, only to find that the dog has made your bedroom untidy. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Your favorite sports shoes are in poor condition.

    Before you get angry, stop and think. Your dog wasn't misbehaving (行为不端) just for the fun of it. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Some dogs just feel nervous when left alone. It's called separation anxiety (分离焦虑).

    Think of it this way: Dogs can't ask where you're going or when you'll be back. They can't call you on the phone. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} Since you're not there, they need to find you. Dogs may suddenly develop separation anxiety. But with practice and patience (耐心), you can teach your dog to be comfortable being left alone.

    Put on your jacket, and then sit back down. Open and close the door, and then sit down. After a while, walk out the door for 10 seconds, then 20, then a minute and so on. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}

    Besides, you can also try the following ways:

    ● Teach your dog a word or action that you use every time you leave, which tells your dog you'll be back.

    ● Help comfort (安慰) your dog by leaving a piece of clothing that smells like you.

    ● Before you leave, give your dog a toy. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}

A. Your clothes are on the floor.

B. It will keep him / her busy while you're away.

C. And he / she wasn't punishing you for leaving.

D. All they know is that they want to be with you.

E. Little by little your dog will learn that when you leave, you will return.

F. You can help your dog by offering him / her some food.

    Experts in nutrition(营养) suggest that we should eat at least five different kinds of vegetables and fruit a day. They are very necessary for our health and help our bodies work well. They can help reduce (减少) the risk of getting ill. There are a lot of vegetables and fruit to choose from and they taste delicious. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}

    It's easy to buy our food from the local supermarket, so why do we go to the trouble of growing our own? Here are several good reasons:

{#blank#}2{#/blank#} You can pick and eat it at once. When you have tried it, you will agree that vegetables and fruit that are eaten straight from the garden taste better than anything you can buy in a supermarket.

    You may want to cut down on your "food miles"-the distance that a product has travelled before it reaches your kitchen. Many food packages are flown halfway across the earth. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}

    Homegrown food is likely to be healthier. Food producers often use fertilizers(化肥) and pesticides (农药) which can end up in your food. If you grow your own, things are different.{#blank#}4{#/blank#} You might also choose to grow some traditional vegetables and fruit. These often have more of the vitamins, minerals(矿物质) and protein(蛋白质) that keep you healthy.

    {#blank#}5{#/blank#} And you can grow your own even if you only have a small backyard or a balcony(R E). Some food can grow well in pots, including lettuce, tomatoes, potatoes and carrots. You can recycle plastic bottles and cups to grow something. Just make sure there are holes for drainage (排水) and a small plate under them to catch drops of water.

Happy gardening!

A. Best of all, you can grow your own!

B. But where to grow your own is a problem.

C. That's not so good for you, or for the planet.

D. Food that you grow yourself is always fresh.

E. If you have a large garden, growing your own is easy.

F. You can control what goes on and into the food you eat.

G. So it's better to eat more vegetables and fruit in our daily life.
