My friend Bob has a large police dog named Jack. Every Sunday afternoon, Bob and Jack have a walk in the park. Jack likes these walks very much.

    One Sunday afternoon, I paid a visit to my friend. I stayed there for a {#blank#}1{#/blank#} time. My friend and I had much more talk with each other than ever before. Soon it was time for them to take a walk in the park. We{#blank#}2{#/blank#}that, so Jack became worried about it. He walked around the room several times and then sat down in front of me and looked at me. But I still paid{#blank#}3{#/blank#} attention (注意) to him. I went on talking with my friend. At last, Jack could not wait any longer. He went out of the room and came back a few minutes {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. He sat down in front of me again. But this time, he held my hat in his{#blank#}5{#/blank#}. Soon I understood what Jack meant and so did my friend.

    Few people today educate the children about the value of empathy(同情；同感).Most people feel so hard to{#blank#}1{#/blank#} their love and care towards others and to actually understand what they are going through.

    When I was a child, I was {#blank#}2{#/blank#} to go out of my way to make someone else happy. My mum would tell me to say at least one kind word to someone else every day. I admit that it wasn't very easy to do. But as soon as you see the look of thanks in that person's {#blank#}3{#/blank#}, you just want to do as much as you can.

    I had an experience with a young man {#blank#}4{#/blank#} people were always making fun of. Every time I saw that happening, I knew in my heart that it was wrong. I decided I would try to be his friend. I started walking with him and introducing him to people around {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. I was making him happy by just doing that. And I loved the fact that I was really making a {#blank#}6{#/blank#} in his life.

    After a while, I realized that he wasn't the kind of person everyday thought he was. We are still really good friends today. People have almost {#blank#}7{#/blank#} stopped making fun of him. But he is still what he was. What had changed was the attitudes of others towards him.

    From this experience I {#blank#}8{#/blank#} that I should be more loving towards other people already. What I did for my friend was so easy, and at the same time I had a lot of fun, {#blank#}9{#/blank#} I hope that everyone could say a kind word to someone else at least once a day. I can promise it will be the best feeling you can ever get.

    One kind word could make someone's day {#blank#}10{#/blank#}. Why not do it from now on?

    I'm Sue. There are many {#blank#}1{#/blank#} in my family. I must help my mom make food in the {#blank#}2{#/blank#} After dinner I must help do the {#blank#}3{#/blank#}.
