Mrs. Green is going to give a birthday party for Mary (Mary is her daughter). Mary is going to be thirteen years old. Twenty friends of Mary's are going to come to the party. They are all girls. Mrs. Green is getting ready for the party. Mrs. White is helping her.

  “Let's make a pretty cake,” Mrs. White says to Mrs. Green.

  “OK. Thank you very much.”

    Mrs. Green is going shopping now. She's going to buy fruit for the party. Mrs. Green buys some fruit. She buys a lot of pears, oranges and bananas. Then she goes home.

    It's three o'clock in the afternoon. Everything is ready. Now the first girl is arriving. The party is going to start in thirty minutes.

    A crow(乌鸦) is thirsty. He finds a little water in a bottle(瓶子). But the neck(颈部) of the bottle is long. The crow can't get the water. The crow thinks(想) and thinks. He puts some little stones in the bottle. The water rises up(上升). Now he can drink the water. What a clever crow!

    Bob has summer holidays. He is going to visit his grandparents in Shanghai . He wants to give some presents to them . Yesterday he went to shopping with his mother and father. In the shop , he bought a blue shorts and black pants for his grandfather and some good books for his grandmother . Bob was very happy

    Mr. Black works on a farm. He and his wife grow a lot of plants and they have some cows. Every day they work hard from morning to evening. One day, Mr. Black says to his wife, "Let's go to Portsmouth next Sunday. We can have a good lunch there and then we can go to the cinema." His wife is very happy when she hears this, because she doesn't like cooking. They go to Portsmouth by train. At 12 o'clock, they want to have lunch. In front of a restaurant, they see a notice. It says, "Lunch: 12:30 to 2:30. Price: 1.5 pounds." "Well, that's good." Mrs Black says. "We can eat for two hours with 1.5 pounds here! This is the place (地方) for us."

    I'm Yangyang. This is my day. It's half past six in the morning. It's time to get up. It's seven o'clock. It's time for breakfast. It's twenty past seven. It's time to go to school. When do I go to the drawing lesson? At ten to two in the afternoon. It's half past five. It's time to go back home. At six o'clock I watch the cartoons. At nine o'clock, I go to bed.

    How time flies! It's time to say goodbye!

    Thank you, my friendly teachers. Sometimes you were strict, but our classes were full of fun. We had different parties in spring. We visited the Great Wall and the nature park in autumn. They were all interesting.

    Thank you, my lovely school. We learned and enjoyed every day. We painted in the art room. We read books in the library. We jumped and ran on the playground. It was happy to study here.
