Every year more people realize(意识到) that it is w{#blank#}1{#/blank#} to kill wild animals for “sport”. The number of hunters, however, g{#blank#}2{#/blank#} quickly. Wild animals are disappearing because of shooting(狩猎) and because of the l{#blank#}3{#/blank#}of living areas. The losing of living areas will go on with our growing population(人口), but can we s{#blank#}4{#/blank#} the losing of wild animals caused(引起) by shooting? This is not p{#blank#}5{#/blank#}if the serious condition of our living is not improved(改善).

Wild animals b{#blank#}6{#/blank#} to everyone and not to the hunters a{#blank#}7{#/blank#}. Although most people do not shoot, they seem to forgive(宽恕) shooting for “sport” because they know l{#blank#}8{#/blank#} or nothing about it. It is time to realize that animals have the same right to l{#blank#}9{#/blank#} as we do. We should make f{#blank#}10{#/blank#} with wild animals.

    My family went to a restaurant for dinner one night. When we were walking to the restaurant from our car, a girl about my age and her mother c{#blank#}1{#/blank#} towards us. They asked if we had any m{#blank#}2{#/blank#}. My mum asked where they were l{#blank#}3{#/blank#}. The girl said there were six of them staying in an o{#blank#}4{#/blank#} black car.  My mum gave them a few dollars.  Then she sent me inside the restaurant w{#blank#}5{#/blank#} my dad and my three sisters. H{#blank#}6{#/blank#}, my mum didn't come. Later, I found out that she had gone h{#blank#}7{#/blank#} and put all the food in our cupboard into a few bags. Then she brought the food over to the car and gave the bags to the poor f{#blank#}8{#/blank#}. I wasn't there when that part happened, yet I could i{#blank#}9{#/blank#} the joy on their faces. After painting this picture in my mind, I understood w{#blank#}10{#/blank#} my mum had done what she did that night. I will never forget this lesson in kindness from my mum.

    Mrs．Patrick  was  a piano teacher．She{#blank#}1{#/blank#}hundreds of students．At age 69，Mrs．Patrick had a stroke (中风)．She couldn't move or speak．As the days passed，she got better, but her right hand was still very {#blank#}2{#/blank#} ．She couldn't play the piano anymore．She was very sad．

    A few months after her stroke，Mrs．Patrick went to a senior citizens' center(老年活动中心)．There were a lot of{#blank#}3{#/blank#}at the center．The director(负责人)was showing her around the center when Mrs．Patrick{#blank#}4{#/blank#} a piano．She looked sadly at the piano．“Is anything wrong?”the director asked．“No．”Mrs．Patrick answered．”The piano brings back my memories(回忆)．{#blank#}5{#/blank#}my stroke．I played the piano．”The director looked at Mrs．Patrick's weak right hand and  said．“{#blank#}6{#/blank#}here．I'll be right back．”A few minutes later the director came back {#blank#}7{#/blank#}Mrs．Eisenberg．“Margaret Patrick,” the director said，“meet Ruth Eisenberg．Before her stroke she{#blank#}8{#/blank#}played the piano．She has a good right

hand，and you have a good left hand．I think you two can do something{#blank#}9{#/blank#} together．”The two women sat down at me piano and began to play．The music {#blank#}10{#/blank#}good．They were not sad anymore．

    Summer holiday is{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(come). The kids have already{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(make) great plans for the summer. Some of them will travel abroad.{#blank#}3{#/blank#}example, Guo Yuan will spend his holiday far away from his parents. He will visit Australia {#blank#}4{#/blank#} some friends. Some kids will keep{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(study) hard during the summer holiday. They have to{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(go) to many after-school classes. Their{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(parent) think this is good for their future studies. But the students{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(them) don't like it. Some will stay at home and do{#blank#}9{#/blank#}same things as usual, like reading books and {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(watch) TV. What is your plan for the summer vacation?

    It's summer holidays. For Jacob, it means (意味着) having a lot of free time to play with {#blank#}1{#/blank#}friends. Usually, he isn't so excited about it, but this summer is {#blank#}2{#/blank#}.This summer, he is going to see Justin Timberlake – one of his favorite singers.

    Jacob got four free tickets to Justin Timberlake' s concert (演唱会) after he{#blank#}3{#/blank#}an online singing competition.{#blank#}4{#/blank#}Justin Timberlake is one of his dreams, so it will be something he will never forget.

    The biggest {#blank#}5{#/blank#}he had was trying to choose just three friends to go with him. He {#blank#}6{#/blank#}that all his friends could go. He asked his mother for help. She told him to choose people who {#blank#}7{#/blank#}liked Justin Timberlake. Jacob thought it was a good {#blank#}8{#/blank#}so he chose three friends who liked Justin Timberlake as much as he did. He felt sorry for not {#blank#}9{#/blank#}his best friend Andrew, but he knew that Andrew didn't like Justin Timberlake's music that much. Jacob's three friends were all very excited when he {#blank#}10{#/blank#} them the good news.

    Now the concert is just a week away and Jacob can hardly wait.

    Smiles send us light in the darkness. Smiles bring us warm sunlight on a cold day.  Smiles can break the hard ice. Smiles are like the rainbow. The rainy days end {#blank#}1{#/blank#} the sky is beautiful again.

    Smiles show love and friendship. Teachers' Smiles encourage us. Mothers' Smiles warm us. Friends' Smiles make us {#blank#}2{#/blank#}.

    We welcome smiles from others. And we {#blank#}3{#/blank#} give others our smiles too. No one is richer than a man {#blank#}4{#/blank#} often smiles at others. If a man doesn't smile at you, just Smiles at him. Smiles help you forget your sadness.

    Life is {#blank#}5{#/blank#} long road. Why not cover it with smiles?
