Alice was born with a strange disease（疾病）. She has been to many hospitals. None of the {#blank#}1{#/blank#}knew the cause of the disease. They told her parents she would go blind（瞎的）and deaf（聋的）.

    Now Alice is fifteen years old. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}eyesight and hearing are so poor that she can't see or hear clearly. But she is {#blank#}3{#/blank#}bright and happy girl. She says to parents," {#blank#}4{#/blank#}I can't see well, I won't stop working." She hopes to enjoy her life. With her parents' help, she is travelling as {#blank#}5{#/blank#}as she can. She is also sharing the interesting things she experiences along the way with others.

She also wants to help people {#blank#}6{#/blank#}her. Her dream is to help researchers {#blank#}7{#/blank#}a method for her disease. If she can get well, people who have the same disease may also be cured (治愈). In fact, she has {#blank#}8{#/blank#} money for a foundation（基金会）fighting the disease {#blank#}9{#/blank#}she was in Grade Two. Until now, she has got over $150, 000!

    Alice thinks helping others can make her happier {#blank#}10{#/blank#} having fun alone. She is doing her best to live her life without any regret (后悔) .
