I was at the Indian grocery store with my cart totally full to check out. There was an African American man in his{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(sixty) behind me. I told him he could go before me{#blank#}2{#/blank#}he had just two items in his hand, and he was all smiles and added, as if{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(make) fun of me. “Thanks! Why don't you pay for my stuff too,” and laughed. I felt a little{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(embarrass)  and thought that the man had a wonderful sense of humor.

    I told the lady at the check out not{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(change) him. I said I would pay for him. He said, “No, no, no, I was just kidding.” And I{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(reply) with a smile, “Yes, yes your wish is heard. Please let me do it!”

    As we talked outside, he told me that the Indian herbs(草药){#blank#}7{#/blank#}he had bought{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(be) for his friend so I should take the money. I said to him, “It is good that it is not for you. Now you can pay it forward to somebody else.” He thanked me and promised he would.{#blank#}9{#/blank#} (eventual), I went home{#blank#}10{#/blank#}my car full of groceries and my heart full of warmth and kindness.

    After a long journey, we arrived in Jiuzhaigou late at night. The tour guide {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(tell) us its name was from the nine Tibetan villages distributed along the valleys,{#blank#}2{#/blank#} had the reputation of “fairyland on earth”.

    The guide collected us at 8 am {#blank#}3{#/blank#} next morning. Then we set off.

    Jiuzhaigou was famous {#blank#}4{#/blank#} the 118 beautiful lakes and the many astonishing waterfalls (瀑布). Clear streams in the valleys collected in beautiful blue lakes, while in some places they collected into waterfalls. The lakes were pure enough{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(see) to the bottom, and they provided fantastic reflections of the facing trees and mountains. This{#blank#}6{#/blank#} (real) was a place to lose a day in.

After the{#blank#}7{#/blank#} (amaze) visit to the valley, we were treated to a well made singing and dancing show about Tibetan life. The{#blank#}8{#/blank#}( performer) had beautiful traditional clothes, provided by {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(they) families.

    When the sun set, I found that time slipped away, and the tour was over. Although I hadn't explored all the sights, I felt able to enjoy the heavenly {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(beautiful). It's absolutely different from UK. Oh, beautiful Jiuzhaigou, goodbye!

    UN Chinese Language Day {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (celebrate) yearly on April 20. This year, Doreen Hynd was among those invitees, who are either experts on the Chinese culture {#blank#}2{#/blank#} have a special skill related to it.

    Hynd astonished all those present while performing Tai Chi, {#blank#}3{#/blank#} Chinese martial (武术的) art form, at an event held by the UN Tai Chi Club. The audience could hardly believe she was a 93-year-old grandma. It was definitely amazing that she could bend her body and raise her leg so {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (easy) and keep herself still standing on one leg.

    Hynd owes (归功于) all this to her continuous practice of Tai Chi.

    Born in Australia in 1925, Hynd began Tai Chi training in her 50s and then moved to the US, {#blank#}5{#/blank#} she later became an instructor herself.

    When {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (ask) about the greatest benefit she gained from Tai Chi, Hynd said, “balance.” Hynd has been teaching people of all ages and different {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (culture) backgrounds how to practice Tai Chi. They have benefited greatly from their association with the Chinese culture. They've developed a balanced state of mind and improved their health after {#blank#}8{#/blank#}（month）of practice. Tai Chi allows these people {#blank#}9{#/blank#}（understand）that, from the perspective（视角）of yin and yang, all things are closely connected with each other. This might be where the attraction of Tai Chi {#blank#}10{#/blank#}（lie）. Hynd enjoys sharing this great gift from China with her students.

    In China, the history of people planting and using bamboo can date back as far as 7000 years. As early as the Shang Dynasty, bamboo was being used in ancient peopled dally lives. It was used for food, clothing, housing, transportation, {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (music) instruments and even weapons.

It is always closely related to people of positive spirits. Bamboo culture contributes to encouraging People to hold on when {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (face) tough situations.

    The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the world's {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (long) cross-sea bridge, enters the history of human engineering and connection as a point of pride upon {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (it) opening to traffic at 9 a. m. on Oct.24, 2018.
