Once there was a father and a son. They were ill-tempered(坏脾气的) and never gave way to  1 .One day the father 2 to ask some friends to dinner in his house. He 3 his son to buy some meat in town. When the son walked towards the town gate, a man was coming from the outside. The gate wasn't 4 enough to let two men in and out at the same time. But neither of 5 would give way to the other. They stood straight face to face inside the gate hour after hour. But the father was worried. “What shall I do? My son hasn't 6  yet. I can't wait any more.” He wanted to know what was the 7 with his son. So he left his friends at home, and went to town 8 his son. “You may first take the 9 home for my friends .Let me 10 here instead.” he said to his son when he knew what had happened.

    Gunny, a young rabbit, was drinking some water from the river near her village. Suddenly, she found two foxes walking to her. She turned around and said, "Hello, friends. I am Gunny. Are you here for some1 too？"

    "You know we are here2for you." both of the foxes laughed.

    "I see, you are3," said Gunny. "But I don't think I am fat enough for you to eat. How about going to my village with me？ You can4 a lot of rabbits if you want."

    The two foxes thought that they would have a big5 soon. They6 Gunny to a bush(灌木丛).

    "My village is7 the bush. Would you like to let me go first？" asked Gunny.

    "Do you think we are8? You must want to run away. We will go9said one of the foxes. "OK, let's run together…" said Gunny.

    They all started running fast, but Gunny10 just before the bush, while the foxes kept on running. They fell off a really high cliff (悬崖),which was behind the bush.

    It is 1 Saturday morning. Helen and 2 brother, Tom, are taking a walk in the zoo. There are 3 of public signs in the park. They mean different things. Helen knows a lot 4 them. But Tom5.

    Suddenly Helen 6 a boy climb the tree. She shouts at that boy,"7 climb the tree.8 you see the sign over there？"The boy jumps off the tree soon. Tom points 9the sign in the garden and says to Helen," So the sign over there10 we shouldn't climb trees, right?"

    Three days had passed since the head teacher scolded (批评)her at the1but Cao Jing, 14, still felt unhappy.

    The head teacher scolded her for wearing tight (紧身的) clothes instead of the2.He said that Cao thought"3about being pretty". But actually the Hangzhou4 wore those clothes to run faster and was going to5the school uniform after the race.

    "I was wronged," Cao said. "I felt angry and sad."

    Many6come across similar things with Cao. Sometimes, as teachers don't fully know the situation. It easily leads to misunderstandings. Such things are not7bad for the relationship between students and teachers, but also the healthy development of students.

    Zhang Xiaoyu, 14, from Anhui thought the best way was to8teachers. "Refuting (反驳)  teachers at once is impolite and will make teachers9," she said.

    Lu Chunzi, a teacher from Heilongjiang,10Zhang. She said many teachers hurt students' feelings11meaning for it. "After all, teachers cannot know12,"she said. "So I hope students can come to teachers to clear up the misunderstandings."

    For those who13too shy to do that, Cao offered14choice. She wrote a letter to her teacher. "He15me later on and now we're good," she said happily.

    The first day of university our professor introduced himself and challenged us to get to know someone we didn't know. I stood up to look around when a1hand touched my shoulder. I turned around to find a wrinkled(有皱纹的) , little old lady with a smile. She2a minute and said. "Hi, handsome. My name is Rose. I'm eighty-seven years old. Can I give you a hug?" I laughed and responded "Of course you may!" and then she gave me a big one.

    We became immediate friends. Every day for the next three months, we would leave class together and talk nonstop. I always loved listening to this "time machine"  3she shared her wisdom and experience with me. Over the course of the year, Rose became a campus role model and she4made friends wherever she went. She loved to dress up and she loved the attention from the other students.

    At the end of the term we invited Rose to speak at our football club. I'll never forget what she taught us. She was introduced and stepped up to the platform. As she began to deliver her prepared speech, she dropped her cards on the floor. A little upset she simply said. "I'm sorry I'm so nervous. I5beer for Lent(大斋节) and this wine is killing me！I'll never get my speech back in order" As we laughed, she cleared her throat and began, "We do not stop playing because we are old; we grow old because we stop playing. There is a huge6between growing older and growing up. Anybody can grow older, but it does take talents and abilities to grow up. .

    One week after graduation Rose died peacefully in her sleep. However, these words have been passed along in loving memory of ROSE.
