Do you know what the hump(驼峰) of a camel is used for? If you answered to store water, guess again. In fact, a camel's hump is a place for storing fat.

Most animals, including humans, store fat throughout their bodies, under their skin. But camels store their fat in one place, their hump. A hump can weigh as much as 80 pounds. Why do camels keep their fat this way? The answer is most likely because of their environment. Camels can go up to two weeks without eating because they have this fat to live off.

Also camels are great at handling(处理,应付) changes in body temperature. Their humps can help the camels keep cooler. Their coats also help them adapt(适应) to the heat. While the coat is thick, it reflects(反射)the sunlight and protects the camel from the heat that rises off the desert sand.

There are two kinds of camels, those with one hump and those with two humps. Camels with one hump are called Dromedary or Arabian camels. They live in the dry deserts in West Asia. Camels with two humps are called Bactrian camels. They live in Central and East Asia.

Besides their humps, camels have a lot of interesting facts. They can live between 40~50 years. They can carry about 400 pounds and run up to 40 miles per hour. It's true that camels can go long time without drinking water, and they can drink about 26 gallons of water at a time. Camels can also close their nostrils(鼻孔). So whether a camel has one hump or two, it is one amazing animal that is very well adapted to its environment.

World Music Day is celebrated on June 21st every year. It originated (起源) in France. In 1981, the French Minister of Culture Jack Lang came up with this idea. In 1982, The first World Music Day took place in Paris and since then, it has become an annual (一年一次的) celebration for the whole world's music. On the first World Music Day, people of all ages and backgrounds got together and enjoyed music.

We love World Music Day for many reasons. It provides us with a great chance to learn about different music styles and express our creative ideas freely. We can write about our favorite songs or make art inspired by the music we've been listening to. On World Music Day, we should celebrate all the great things in life. We can talk about world peace, love and so on.

World Music Day is celebrated in many different ways. There are often free concerts and events held on this day. People like listening to different types of music because it can open their mind to new things. Maybe there is an event nearby where people are singing or playing music from their country. You can talk about what you heard and learn something new!

As fall comes, Germany holds its biggest beer festival—Oktoberfest(啤酒节). Oktoberest is probably the most well—known folk festival worldwide . It is also known for the drinking of beer worldwide. The celebration begins in late September and lasts until the first Sunday in October. Each year more than 6 million people around the world attend .

Beer has been a main product of German society for centuries and drinking beer has been a part of German tradition and culture . There are over 7.000 different kinds of beer brewed(酿造) in Germany . Drinking beer in Germany is a tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation. It has been a way of life that Germans have accepted and it has become a sign of Germans. They take great pride in their beer, going so far as to write the German Beer Purity Law in 1516 that is still in use today.

Why do Germans like beer so much ? Though beer wasn't invented in Germany , it was very popular because it was safer to drink than water. Beer is made from grain (粮食). In the past , people saw it as a kind of"food". Also, water in the past was—always polluted , so Germans have historically drunk beer instead of clean water.

If you were to visit Germany , it would be advisable to try the beer that is most popular in that region, like Pilsner, wheat beer and lager. The art of brewing beer has been practiced for centuries and Germans are masters at their brewing craft(工艺)!66、67题完成句子: 68~70题简略回答问题。

Most of us need friends, but some of us do not know how to make friends. My teacher Mr. Smith gave me some advice

{#blank#}1{#/blank#} you make friends, you must decide who you want to choose to be your friends. Most people like to have friends who like to do the same things {#blank#}2{#/blank#} they do. Think about your favorite things and try talking to your classmates about your {#blank#}3{#/blank#} hobby.

The quickest way to make {#blank#}4{#/blank#} friend is to smile. If you do so, people think you're friendly. At first, it may not be easy to smile. However, remember that nobody {#blank#}5{#/blank#}( like) a long or cold face

One easy way to talk with people is to say something nice about them. Just think about {#blank#}6{#/blank#} you feel when someone says something nice about you. Doesn't it make you want to keep {#blank#}7{#/blank#} ( talk) with a person?

Ask {#blank#}8{#/blank#}( you) new friends questions about them. Who's their favorite singer? Where do they live? Who's their teacher or what do they do after school? Sometimes you can make friends {#blank#}9{#/blank#} ( easily) if you ask more questions.

After making some friends that share the same interests. It's always fun {#blank#}10{#/blank#} ( play) or do something together. And this is the right way to make a friendship closer.
