Hi, I'm a middle school student. I'm Judy. In my class there are thirty-eight students. How do they go to school every day? Seventeen of them take the bus because they live far from the school. Six students walk. They think walking is good exercise. Fifteen students ride their bikes to school because they like riding bikes very much and their homes are not far from the school. No one goes to school by car. How do you go to school? Haha, I'm one of the fifteen.

Many people draw on the paper, but few paint on stones. Mo Wuying, an artist from Chongqing, has been doing this for more than eight years. And the animals on stones are {#blank#}1{#/blank#}( true) lifelike.

The poses of animals she creates {#blank#}2{#/blank#} ( decide) by the shapes of the stones. Mo says it is{#blank#}3{#/blank#} art form that requires creative {#blank#}4{#/blank#} ( idea).

According to Mo, the first step is to draw the outline of an animal on a stone. Then she colors it {#blank#}5{#/blank#}( make) it lively. After that, she adds all the details.

Driven by her love of painting from a young age, Mo has been improving her stone painting skills for years. {#blank#}6{#/blank#} first, she tried her hand at sceneries and characters. In the past three years, she has focused on painting animals. Mo {#blank#}7{#/blank#}( finish) hundreds of stone paintings so far." The longer I work on it, the {#blank#}8{#/blank#} ( interesting) I find it," said Mo proudly. She sometimes even forgets to eat or sleep {#blank#}9{#/blank#} the painting takes up all her attention.

" It is a{#blank#}10{#/blank#}( please) to paint on stones and that makes me more patient," said Mo, adding that she would continue working on it.

There are four seasons in a year in the city. 

Spring is from March to May. The weather is sunny and warm. The temperature is from 5 to 18 {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. Everything begins to grow. It's a good time to go on a field trip. 

Summer is {#blank#}2{#/blank#} the hottest but wettest. In the southeast, there are many showers. And sometimes, in the morning the sun shines, but in the afternoon, it might {#blank#}3{#/blank#} cloudy and rainy. There are storms sometimes. So, people often take an umbrella. But in the northwest, it's dry and hot. 

Autumn comes in September. Best of all, the weather is not too cold or too hot. It's the best time to travel.

I like winter best compared to the other seasons. I'm not {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. I like it because it's snowy. I can make a snowman,{#blank#}5{#/blank#} and ski. It's also pleasant(令人愉快的) for me to take photos of snow with my new phone. 

Last week I went to an art show. A painting caught my eyes. To my amazement(惊奇), it was painted by Steven, one of my {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Then many things about him came into my mind. Steven was from a poor family. His parents{#blank#}2{#/blank#} not afford to buy him some basic things that he needed. Once our school provided gloves for poor children. I put Steven's name on the list. He was so {#blank#}3{#/blank#} when he received a pair. He loved to wear them and they were always {#blank#}4{#/blank#} than anybody else's. Steven had a gift(天赋) for painting and he could {#blank#}5{#/blank#} understand what I described in class. But he didn't have money to buy the paper for painting. So sometimes, I {#blank#}6{#/blank#} him some. He practiced hard. And I often showed his paintings of the class. He was greatly {#blank#}7{#/blank#}.

 One day just before the summer vacation, he came to {#blank#}8{#/blank#} some art books. When the new term began, he showed some of {#blank#}9{#/blank#} paintings to me. I felt shocked. They were very good. Then we talked a lot. He said he would keep on. Later he was admitted(录取) to a famous art university. After graduation, he had many difficulties, but he never gave up. He was always {#blank#}10{#/blank#} his best to improve himself. His hard work and strong mind led to his success.

Two students were asked to meet their teacher at the end of a forest. There were two paths. One was short and easy, and {#blank#}1{#/blank#} other full of fallen trees. One student chose the easy one. He felt he was clever as he walked through without {#blank#}2{#/blank#} . He finished first and felt proud of {#blank#}3{#/blank#} . The second student chose to take time to jump over every fallen tree in his path. After {#blank#}4{#/blank#} at the finish line, he felt tired and regretted choosing that path. The teacher nodded and smiled at them both. He asked them to get a prize by a river three days later.

 When the students arrived, they were {#blank#}5{#/blank#} to hear that they needed to jump over a river which was a few meters wide. The teacher said, "Everything that you have done until now should have prepared you for this moment. This is a jump {#blank#}6{#/blank#} will lead you to greatness." The first student walked away immediately, as he knew that he hadn't prepared well {#blank#}7{#/blank#} for the jump. The second student knew now by choosing to deal {#blank#}8{#/blank#} challenges instead of avoiding them, he was ready for the jump. He {#blank#}9{#/blank#} towards the river and jumped as far {#blank#}10{#/blank#} he could. And he made it!
