The most meaningful club I joined in

Once upon a time, there was an old woman. Her1  died after their son came to the world. She lived with her only son.

However, something 2  happened to her son and the old woman lost her only son. She felt really 3  and went to a wise man and asked,"Is there any way to help me throw away my sadness?"

The wise man said to her, "Go and bring 4  a seed(种子) from a home that has never known sadness. I will 5 it to drive the sadness out of your life." The woman went off at once to 6  {#blank#}1{#/blank#}that special seed.

First, she came to a beautiful house and knocked at the door 7   , "Excuse me, I am looking for a 8  that has never known sadness. Is this such a place? It is very 9  to me. "

They told her, "You've certainly come to the 10  place."They began to describe all the sad things that had recently happened to them.

The woman said to herself,"Who is able to 11  these people that have had such sadness like me?" She stayed to cheer them up 12  she went on looking for a home that had never known sadness.

But wherever she went, whether in the homes of the poor or the rich, she found one sad 13  after another. She became so busy helping other people that she 14  about looking for the special seed. She even never found that helping others 15  the sadness out of her life.

In a restaurant, a bug(虫子)suddenly flew in and landed on a woman. She started shouting out of fear. Then she jumped around with both her hands shaking, trying to scare away the bug. Her reaction was very strong and everyone in her group got into fear(恐惧).

The woman finally got the bug off her, but then it landed on another woman in the group. Now, it was her turn to continue the drama.

A waiter rushed to the table. The woman somehow managed to get the bug on the waiter. The waiter stood quietly and looked at the bug on his shirt. He carefully picked up the bug and threw it out of a window.

Drinking my coffee and watching the drama go on, I started wondering: Was the bug responsible (负责的) for what they behaved just now? If so, then why was the waiter not disturbed(干扰)?

He solved the problem perfectly without any fear. It was not the bug, but the inability of those people to deal with the disturbance caused by the bug that disturbed them.

I realized that it was not the shouting of my father or my boss that disturbed me, but my inability to deal with the disturbances caused by their shouting that disturbed me. It was not the traffic jams on the road but my inability to deal with the disturbances caused by traffic jams that disturbed me.

It is not a problem, but my reaction to the problem that creates disorders in my life.

I'm the mother of a five-year-old boy. "Mommy, where are you going?" Dave asks me when I am putting on my running shoes on a cold Sunday morning. "Go running, " I say. "Why?" He asks me in surprise. He is only five, but it is a question that I can't easily answer. I often ask myself, "Cathy, why are you go running?" I don't know, but something lets me go. So I say to Dave, "Something lets me go. "

 The truth is that just before you run, it's still difficult to explain(解释) to someone why you run. Of course, some people run to lose weight or to be healthy, and these are good reasons. 

 Running is difficult, that' s because you need to persist every day. However, running is also easy to do. It's cheap, and you can do it whenever you want. There are over two million people in England running at least once a week. I'm one of those two million runners. I go running not to lose weight or to be healthy. I run five kilometers every morning. After that I feel great, and it's easy for me to do the other things. After my busy work, I usually go out to run, and I think it is the most wonderful time in a day. I love running and I will continue to run. I hope more people love to run every day.

Ivan sat on the floor covered with sand deep down in the sea. He was bored and 1 . He watched other pretty fish swimming in and out of rocks. They were laughing and dancing in the 2 . "Why am I so different?" he said to himself.

"You are an octopus(章鱼), Ivan. That is 3 ." The sweet voice of Peter, a beautiful white dolphin(海豚), always made Ivan 4 better. Ivan looked up at the white dolphin and smiled. Peter said, "Let's play games 5 ."

They were having a lot of 6 and they didn't know they swam far from home. Suddenly Peter saw a large shark (鲨鱼) swimming next to them. "It is Big White... the biggest, most7 shark in the sea," he shouted to Ivan. Peter 8 Big White hopelessly. Peter was very afraid and he couldn't 9 . Just at this moment, Big White rushed down towards (冲向)10 . A 11 came to Ivan. He quickly sprayed (喷) a very dark cloud of black liquid (液体) to the shark's eyes. Then Ivan and Peter swam away 12 got home safely.

"Are you OK?" asked Ivan. "Yes. That was the most interesting trip ever! You saved me just now. I am lucky 13 you as my friend!" Ivan's face turned red. "I guess being different14 others can be so cool sometimes," Ivan said. "That is what I try to15 to you," Peter said.
