Seba Stephens is only 10 years old, but he's a very talented musician. He plays drums, bass, guitar and piano. Recently, he got a professional certificate (证书) in music through the Berklee Online program at the famous Berklee College of Music.

Seba and his family live in Memphis, Tennessee-a place famous for music. He grew up with music all around, but he especially loved the drumming of Stewart Copeland from the band The Police. "The songs of The Police are full of so much cool drumming (鼓声)." he says.

Before he turned three, his parents asked him what he wanted for his birthday. "Drums!" he answered.

His parents weren't sure, but after seeing him play the drums at a local music store, they decided he was serious. They bought him a junior drum kit (成套装备). It was a huge step. "He didn't stop playing-ever." says his dad. Everett.

But soon Seba grew upset. He couldn't get his junior drum kit to make the sounds he heard Mr. Copeland making. It was a lesson for the family: good instruments were worth paying for. His parents bought him a professional drum kit and signed him up for lessons.

In just a few months, a drummer, his drum teacher reported that Seba was learning very quickly and needed a higher level of training. He was still four.

He faced challenges-because of his size. "I couldn't see over my drum set," he says. "And I couldn't reach some of the cymbals (铙钹，打击乐器名)." He also had trouble finding a good bass that was small enough.

Seba wanted to start a band, but Everet said he had to "at least be in kindergarten (幼儿园)" to do that. Everett thought he was joking, but Seba actually started a band in kindergarten. By the first grade, he was making money playing music.

A grandma, Xu Xiuzhen, became famous for videos of her talking with foreigners on the Internet. In these videos, she speaks different languages with them. Grandma Xu has worked as a tour guide and vendor(摊贩) in Yangshuo, a county in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region (自治区) since 1998. Grandma Xu left junior school in the third grade. To make a living, she began to learn different languages to encourage more foreigners to buy things. Over the past twenty years, Grandma Xu has taught herself 11 foreign languages, including English, Spanish, Japanese and Korean. It makes her popular, and her excellent language skills have also made it easier for her to communicate with foreign tourists.

Grandma Xu said she learnt how to pronounce the words from different foreigners first and then she memorised them. She would repeat the words in her head before going to bed and after waking up. Gradually, her hard work made her talk with foreigners better and better.

Grandma Xu has also become one of the busiest tour guides in Yangshuo. Her popularity draws a large crowd of tourists every day, especially foreign visitors who come to meet the special guide out of admiration. "More and more foreign tourists are coming to Yangshuo, and I hope they will feel at home here with my help," she said.

Eduardo reached into his backpack，searching for his mobile phone. He was tired of Aunt Letty spending all day on her chickens，goats，horses，and cows. Worse，he was afraid of having to spend the spring vacation on Aunt Letty's farm. 

Although he disagreed，his parents decided that spending time on the farm would be a great experience for him. They grew up on a farm and believed that responsibility（责任），hard work，and respect for the land were valuable lessons. 

"So，have you ever ridden a horse？"Aunt Letty asked，trying to turn his attention away from his phone. "Hmmm，no. "he answered. "Well，we've got a nice horse I think you'll like. "she said，smiling. 

Eduardo was unhappy that he had to work. Vacations were meant for sleeping late，playing video games，and maybe skateboarding. Without lifting his head，he tried to text a friend. 

"With all the hills and valleys，phones are hard to get a WIFI. " 

Eduardo made a face，but Aunt Letty was right. 

▲. The animals on the farm woke them up，and they had breakfast before sunrise. Then they had to feed the animals. The afternoons were filled with cleanup and caring for the animals. At sunset，when the farm was finally quiet，Aunt Letty reached out her arms and inhaled（吸气），"Just take a deep breath of that sweet country air!"Eduardo，tired from his chores，couldn't enjoy his work. 

On the third day，Aunt Letty announced， "It's time to meet Hercules. "She led Eduardo into the stables（马厩）. Aunt Letty was right again. Hercules was amazing! 

Aunt Letty held her hand open for Eduardo to take. Unwillingly（不情愿地），he let her guide his hand towards Hercules and allowed the big animal to touch his hand. Softly，Hercules rubbed its nose and mouth against him. 

"It feels like velvet（天鹅绒）!"Eduardo smiled. An hour later，Eduardo was offering Hercules carrots. 

That night，as they headed towards the house，Eduardo was excited. His arms spreading wide，he inhaled and said，"Take a breath of that sweet country air!"

Many of us like to read books. We read everything from fiction to nonfiction. In the past, we could only read traditional paper books. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}.

Now, we can read e-books most of the time. They still have covers and pages, but they're not made of paper. Instead, they're pictures on a screen. Some people love to read e-books. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} They can read them on their mobile phones and computers. However, in another way, they're not so great because they have changed the way people read.

{#blank#}3{#/blank#} Sometimes, we feel like we're in the stories and forget the real world while reading traditional books. However, that's not true with e-books. With them, we might not focus on the books and we may pay attention to other things.

When we read an e-book written in a foreign language, we may meet new words. That takes us out of the stories and to an online dictionary. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} During surfing, we can also chat with our friends, check our emails, surf the Internet, search for things to buy, and more.

In a word, e-books are becoming popular. They make a difference on our reading habits. Our eyes stop reading everything on the page. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} Some people don't mind that, but for others, it takes the fun out of reading.
