    "The bus is coming," says Tony. The big school bus stops at the bus stop.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}They are going to school.{#blank#}3{#/blank#}After school, Tony looks for the bus. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}He sees a new bus. His friends say to him, "How do you like the new bus, Tony? Come on! We are waiting（等）for you!"

Once，late at night，an Englishman came out of his room into the corridor of a Paris hotel and asked the servant to bring him a glass of water. The servant did as he had asked. The Englishman entered his room，and a few minutes later, he came into the corridor again and once more asked the servant for a glass of water. The servant brought him another glass of water. Every few minutes, the Englishman would come out of his room and repeat his request（要求）. After a few hours, the surprised servant decided to ask the Englishman what he was doing with the water. "Nothing, " the Englishman answered, "It's only that my room is on fire. "

 We often say," A friend in need is a friend indeed." Here is a good example. Once there were two good1 — Tom and Jack. One day, Tom wanted to borrow some 2 to build a factory. He went to the bank and the clerk said he should first3 a warrantor(担保人). Tom told Jack about it and Jack s a id he would like to help him. Unluckily, Tom did4 in his business. Finally, he had to close t h e5 and left his city without telling anyone. When the bank couldn't find Tom, they wanted Jack to pay off(还清) the money for Tam. Jack felt very 6 because he didn't earn much. So Jack 7 his house and moved to live with his parents. But he know Tom would return one day.

Thanksgiving Day is one of the most important {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (festival)in America. It is always {#blank#}2{#/blank#}the fourth Thursday in November. It is a time to give thanks for all the good things we have. On that day, people usually eat {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (tradition)  food. Everybody{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(want)to be with family and friends. So they will get together to cook a large meal. The main dish of this meal is always turkey. Last Sunday, my mother and I learned

{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(make)turkey. First, we {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (mix)together some bread pieces, onions, salt and pepper. Next, we filled the turkey with this bread mix. Then, we put the turkey in {#blank#}7{#/blank#} hot oven and cooked it for a few hours. {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (final), when it was ready, we placed it on a large plate and covered it with gravy. After {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(cut)the turkey into pieces, we started to have the delicious meal. Everybody ate so much {#blank#}10{#/blank#} had fun. What a great day!

 Last summer, I got a new job. When I was happily waiting for the bus, I found    a(n)1 silk umbrella in the corner of the bus stop. I had never seen such a special 2 . Its ribs(骨架) were made of bamboo, which is cool to touch. The umbrella was made of beautiful silk, very light and3 , with wonderful pictures on it. It must be of great importance to someone. I decided to 4 the owner. About 40 minutes later, a lady came in a hurry and looked for something.

"Are you looking for the umbrella?" I asked. "Yes!" she said excitedly and thankfully. She 5 a smile and took the umbrella. Her eyes were filled with tears. She said that her grandmother,6 had passed away, had given her the umbrella as a birthday present. It meant a lot to 7 . We talked for a while, and I gave her my address and contact information. The reason was that we had a really good 8 .
