Are you an "I" person or an "E" person? A personality test called MBTI is very (受欢迎的) online these days. According to the test, there are sixteen kinds of personalities(性格). If people are "I", they (可能) be not so outgoing, while "E" people may make friends, enjoy parties and share their happiness and sadness with others more.
I used to(过去常常) believe strongly in my friends' MBTI results. I (想知道) if their results matched the way I saw them. My friend Diana is a "P" person who never plans according to the test result. But one day I was surprised to see her making a day-to-day travel plan for the holiday. "I thought you were a ‘P' person," I said. "Why do I need to(跟随) what my personality test tells me?" she answered. Her words made me think about the (意义) of the test. It is just for fun, but I took the result too(认真地) in the past.
According to MBTI, people are either "I" or "E". But introverted (内向的) people can be outgoing, too. For example, as an "I" person, I sometimes do things an outgoing person would do. I talk with others about my thoughts and feelings to show I'm easy to get along with. But in (事实), I'm much quieter (比) I seem to be. I don't (介意) being alone.
Knowing(某人的) MBTI result doesn't mean you really know this person. Never let a test tell you who you are.
