The new teacher

It is Monday morning. Beth says to Dan that a new leacher is starting today.

1  name is Mr Arty. Beth hopes the new teacher isn't strict like Mr Jones. Dan hopes the new teacher will be like Mrs Brown. She's very friendly.

The new teacher is a robot. He is 2 . He teaches maths, the class about animals and geography （地理）. 3  all the lessons are wrong （错误的）. Beth and Dan think the new teacher is very hard-working, but he is not 4 . 

After lunch Beth and Dan go out to play. Beth throws （扔） the ball to Dan, but the ball hits （击中） Mr Arty. Mr Arty starts to run very fast. He can't stop. Mr Arty is good at running. Beth knows he can be helpful.

Now Beth and Dan have a new5  teacher. Football is interesting.

Many years ago，in a small town，there lived a1 .He was helpful and kind.He was always ready to help every sick person.All the people in the town liked him and they 2 went to him when there was anything wrong.

The years went past，and the doctor became old.He began to forget （忘记） things.When people noticed （意识到） this，they didn't go to him anymore.

"He may give us the3 medicine （药），" they said，and they were afraid.

The old doctor noticed that people didn't come to him anymore，but he didn't know why.So he asked， "Why does no one come to me now？"

Nobody wanted to tell him why because they didn't want to make the good old man 4 ，so they said， "You have helped all the sick people in the town.There is nobody5 now."

The doctor was pleased when he heard that.

Guo Moruo lives(住) in the courtyard house(四合院). I see a big living room, two studies and a bedroom in his home. There are many books, calligraphy works(书法作品) and pictures in his home. But there is no fridge, phone or computer.

I live in a flat(单元房). There is no garden in my home. There is a study, a living room, two bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchen in my home. In our living room, you can see a phone and a TV. In my bedroom, you can see a computer on my desk. There is a fridge in our kitchen. At night, I do my homework in my bedroom. And my parents read books in the study.

Look at the picture of my family. We are all at home. My father is sitting on the chair near the window and reading a book. l am in my room. I am listening to music. Lily, my sister is not playing. She is cleaning the windows. Where is my mother? She is in the kitchen. She is cooking. And my brother Tim is helping my mother.

Dear Dick,

I am so happy today. I have a big dinner with Peter's family. There are five people in his family. His father is tall and strong. He's a football player. His mother is tall and thin. She is a doctor. His grandparents are very old. They are farmers.

They live in a nice and clean house. They have a living room, a study, a kitchen, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The living room is big and nice. There is a big TV and a red sofa in the living room. The study is small but clean. In the study, there are many books on the desk. Peter has a big bedroom. In his bedroom, there is a blue computer near the window.

Peter is very friendly. You can be his friend, too.
