What color of wearing do you like? Do you know "dopamine dressing (多巴胺穿搭)"? It's one of the most talked about fashion trends (趋势) for 2023 and 2024. However, is there any science behind this?

"Dopamine dressing" came out from the book Dress Your Best Life. An American fashion psychologist (心理学家) wrote this book in 2020. In the book, dopamine dressing is about wearing colorful clothing to get more dopamine.

Dopamine is a chemical in our brain. This kind of chemical makes people feel good. Usually our brain gives it out when we eat delicious food, play with our pets, listen to our favorite songs, after we exercise or when we win a game.

According to Science Focus Magazine, there are studies that show a relationship between the colors of the clothes we wear and how we act and feel. One study found that wearing red can bring better physical performance. It also showed bright colors can make people feel active. One more study showed that wearing green can help people relax because it is the color of nature. Yellow, the color of summer and warmth, can bring people happiness. But there are some problems with these studies, as people from different cultures have different ideas about dressing and colors.

In a word, "dopamine dressing" shows that we can wear colorful clothes to get more dopamine and feel good. Dressing is more than just a trend. It's also a way of showing ourselves. So, next time you're getting dressed, think about which colors will bring out yourself best.

When a young boy was visiting a museum named Christchurch Mansion with his family, he accidentally knocked a historic jug off the window edge (边缘). The jug broke into 65 pieces. The boy, who was about 4 or 5 years old at the time, was rather sad about the accident. 

The jug is about 221 years old. It is worth up to 2, 000 pounds. The jug has three spouts(壶嘴) and the user must guess which spout the water will pour from. 

Carrie Willis is the duty officer of the museum. Under the direction of the museum's conservation officer Bob Entwistle, she put back together the 18th- century Delft Puzzle Jug.

Not so secret any more, I thought. I ran over to the tree and found the hollow was filled with sweet pecans. They were right there for the taking. This was my chance. Handful by handful, I took all the pecans from the hollow. Now the basket was full!

I was so proud of myself. I couldn't wait to show Grandpa all of the pecans I'd collected.

"Look, Grandpa," I shouted, "look at all of the pecans I found!" Grandpa took a look at my basket. "Well, well, how did you find so many, Jimmy?" 1 told him how I'd followed the squirrel and taken the pecans from his hiding place. Grandpa congratulated me on finding out something about the squirrel's secrets. Then he did something that surprised me. He handed the basket back to me and put his arm gently around my shoulders.

"That squirrel worked very hard to collect his winter food," he said, "Now that all of his pecans are gone, don't you think that little squirrel will be very hungry when it gets cold?"

"I didn't think about that." I said.

"I know," Grandpa said, "But a good man should never take advantage of someone else's hard work, even the squirrel's."

Suddenly I felt as hollow as that old tree. The image(形象) of that hungry squirrel wouldn't leave my mind.

There was only one thing I could do.

 In the future, we might not just drive or take trains to get around. Smart people are making a new way to travel: flying cars. These cars can drive on the road like usual cars, but they can also fly in the sky like planes.

"Wow, can you imagine flying over traffic jams?" asks Tom.

"Sure, Tom!" answers Sarah. "It would save us so much time."

 Flying cars can help deal with(处理) some big travel problems. One is traffic jams. With flying cars, people can fly over them and save time. Another problem is pollution. Many flying cars are being made as electric cars, so...

"I heard these electric(电) flying cars won't pollute the air," Jack puts a word in.

"That's right, Jack," adds Emma. "They' re eco-friendly and a big step towards cleaner transportation(交通)."

 Safety(安全) is very important for new ways to travel. Engineers are using cool technology to make flying cars safe. They put safety net s into them, like parachutes and good guided system(导航系统) to help.

"Dad, are flying cars safe?" little Timmy asks.

"Yes, Timmy," his dad reassures him. "Engineers are working hard to make them as safe as possible."

 Flying cars are still being tested, but some companies have tried them out. It might take a few years, but soon we might see flying cars in our everyday life. The idea of flying cars is not just a dream any more— it's getting real.

"I can't wait for the day we can just fly to work," says Lisa, excitedly.

"Me neither," agrees Mike. "It's going to change the way we live and travel."
