One day, Mr. White takes his mother to a shopping mall. He wants to buy a new pair of shoes for her.

There are so many beautiful shoes, and the old woman tries on（试穿） some shoes happily. But she doesn't like any of them when she knows the prices.

Seeing this, Mr. White speaks to the shopkeeper quietly（轻轻地）, "Next time. when my mother shows interest in（对……感兴趣） some pairs, just tell her the price is only 15 dollars."

"But that's not the real price!" the shopkeeper says.

"Don't worry! I will pay（付钱） for the shoes at the real price."

My mother only has one eye. I don't want her to show up (出现)at my school.

One day I am ill. My mother comes. "Your mom only has one eye!" yell some of my classmates. I wish my mother will disappear(消失).

"If you embarrass(使——尴尬) me, why don't you just die?" I shout at her. My mother is very sad, she just hands me some medicine and leaves(离开) without saying anything.

I don't think I hurt her feeling very much. I see my mom crying(哭) in her room. Even so, I hate her tears from one eye. I make a decision：I must study hard and leave my mother.

Years later my dream comes true. I am quite successful(成功的) but I don't go to see my "ugly" mother. One day I get a letter from my mother.

"My son I am sorry I only have one eye. When you are two years old, you are ill and lost your eye. As a mom, I can't let you live with only one eye. So I give you my eye. I am not angry with you and I never regret(后悔) it because I love you." I cry aloud. How beautiful my mother is!

My name is Jack. I am fourteen years old. I have many friends. Most of them are as old as me. Some are older than me and some are younger. 

My best friend is David. He is also fourteen and he comes from the countryside. We live in the same neighborhood now. We are in the same class. He sits behind me. David is good at math and he often helps me with my math homework. I often help him with his English homework. He is poor in English, because he never studied English before. 

David is 1. 7 meters tall. He is taller than me. I am only 1. 6 meters tall. We both have brown hair, but David's hair is longer than mine. 

David is a little thin, but I am heavy. I don't like sports, so I don't get much exercise. But David likes sports very much. He often asks me to play sports with him. 

After school, David and I play soccer for half an hour in our neighborhood. Thanks to(多亏) David, I am healthier than before. 

We help and learn from each other. We are good friends!

I'm Mike. I am a junior high school student. Junior high is different from primary school. These differences help us grow and learn new things. My parents help me a lot during this time.

 In junior high, we have more subjects. This means I need to plan my time well. In primary school, my teacher told me what to do. Now, I have to make my timetable for study. At first, this was not easy for me. However, my parents help me by showing me how to create(创造) a timetable. They teach me to turn big task into small ones, then work on them one after another. It's useful.

 Making new friends is another part of growing up. In junior high, I meet many new people. Sometimes,I feel shy about talking to them. My parents tell me to be brave(勇敢的). They also tell me I can join clubs. Because it's easier for us to make friends with others through clubs.

 The challenges in junior high also teach us important lessons. For example, when I face problems, I must learn to be patient (耐心的) and work hard. My parents tell me that it is OK to make mistakes because I can learn from them.

 Thanks to my parents, I believe I can work out any problems in junior high and grow as a better man.
