One of the world's most dangerous sports is mountain climbing. And one of the most popular {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (place) for this sport is the Himalayas. The Himalayas run along the southwestern part of China. Of all the mountains there, Qomolangma rises {#blank#}2{#/blank#} highest and is the most famous. It is 8,8486metres high. The top {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(cover) with thick clouds and heavy snow all year. There are freezing weather conditions and heavy storms. And it is very hard {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(take) in air as you get near the top. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} dangerous it is to climb to the top!

Why do so many climbers risk {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(they) lives? One of the main reasons is that people {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(simple) want to challenge great difficulties. The spirit of these climbers encourages us to achieve our dreams. It also shows that humans can sometimes be {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(strong) than nature.

There is a 3D-printed library in our community (社区) . It was printed out in three {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. This library is special, just like a bird flying in the sky. There are different {#blank#}2{#/blank#} of books in this library. You can spend time {#blank#}3{#/blank#} books there. You can also choose some books you like from there {#blank#}4{#/blank#} return them three days later. There is a special box in front of the library. You can put some old books {#blank#}5{#/blank#} the box. Anyone can open the box and {#blank#}6{#/blank#} some books to read. These books can take away for {#blank#}7{#/blank#}. In return (作为回报), you need to put some old books in the box. It quickly became {#blank#}8{#/blank#} around the community. The box give people free books to read and make neighbors {#blank#}9{#/blank#}. Now this library has {#blank#}10{#/blank#} a hot topic online.

Poems for Children is a book of poems. These poems were chosen by the poet Julie Waters and they carry children on a wonderful journey of poetry.

The book contains 50 poems which were written by poets from many different countries. There are poems old and new from W.B. Yeats. Robert Louis Stevenson, Waller de la 'Mare and many other famous poets around the world. You can find poems about joy, humour, beauty and mystery.

This book is a treasure because Waters has chosen some really fine poems. There are short ones like The Parkby James S. Tippett and Until I saw the sea by Lilian Moore, together with longer ones like Kept Busy by Joanne Bums and The Explosion by Philip Larkin. They create wonderful images in the reader's mind and tell a story. Children can learn how beautiful and musical the English language can be when they read the poems aloud.

Another part of the book which makes it attractive is Charlotte Green's introduction. It teaches children how to read and appreciate （欣赏）poems. Green uses simple words so children can understand them easily. This is a must- read for both beginners and advanced learners of poetry.

Do you think stones can move by themselves? Some stones can move in Death Valley（死谷）, the US. Death Valley is famous for this. Many of the stones are small. but a few of them are very big. The biggest stone weighs about 350 kg. 

The stones only move at night. Nobody has ever seen them moving, but now scientists know why the stones can move. The answer is the wind. When the wind comes from the west. the stones move to the cast. When the wind is from the south, they always move to the north. But how can the wind move a very heavy stone? 

Death Valley is one of the hottest places in the world, but it can be very cold at night. Sometimes. there are even storms at night. Rain falls, and the wind is strong and cold. The water on the ground turns into ice easily. Then the strong wind can move the stones along the flat ground. In the morning, the sun comes up and dries the ground. So people can find them move from one place to another in the daytime. 

Singapore is a small island nation in Southeast Asia. Singapore is both the name of the country and its capital. It is said that a prince named the Island Singapore, meaning "Lion City". It's also called "Garden City" because gardens and trees are everywhere. Singapore Island and about 60 small islands make up the country. Almost 5,630,000 people live there. That makes Singapore one of the most crowded countries in the world. Most people speak English, but Chinese, Tamil (an Indian language) and Malay are also official languages. What's more, it is very hot and often rains in Singapore. 

 From an early age, we were taught that if we wanted to be successful, we had to study hard and get good results at school. In fact, good students may just end up doing jobs they don't like, and some even lead an unhappy life. Why is it like that?

 In some parents' eyes, school grades matter most for their kids. In reality, there are many things to consider besides school subjects. For example, how to be a happy person, what to do to keep healthy, and how to get along well with others. That is to say, school is not just enough if you want to have a great life.

 Doing well in school is different from doing well in life. Studies show that people who failed at school may not end up failing in life. You may have already known that some famous people, like Thomas Edison and Steve Jobs, didn't do very well at school or even failed to finish school. In fact, there are a lot more than just the great people who are successful in life without finishing school. They catch every chance to learn and finally make it to the top.

 Life is really a long lesson, so long that you can't define(界定) a person's success by just one part of it. If you have already finished school, keep learning because what you have learned at school will never be enough to live a satisfying life. If you are still studying, whether you are good or bad at school, don't take your school results too seriously as long as you have put your heart into it. Keep learning to make the most of your talents improve. That's how you can live a happy and successful life.
