Hello, everyone! I'd like to tell you something about a famous scientist named Qian Xuesen. He was born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province on December 11, 1911. After he graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1934, he got a chance to study in USA. After he graduated, he became a teacher as well as a researcher who studied rockets and missile theories.

    When he was 44, he returned to his motherland and the country's space research was almost a blank. In 1956, he set up the first research institute of rockets and missiles. He made such important contributions to the missile and space programs that he was honored as "The Father of China's Missiles". The Chinese people are proud of him.

    He passed away on October 31, 2009 at the age of 98, but all the Chinese will remember him forever. His devotion to his country was expressed in his saying, "My career is in China, my success is in China and my destination is in China!" When someone said he could make much more money if he stayed in the United States, he laughed and said," My family name is Qian, but I don't like qian." His spirit encourages us to love our country and devote ourselves to science.

George always wanted to have a holiday in space. He planned to pay millions of {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(美元) to make his dream come true. Before his travel,

he tried to be in excellent condition because he had to be ready for the changes in space. A machine made him turn around and around until he felt {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(极讨厌的;极坏的). And he had to run in a small room that did not have much air. His special training {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(持续;延续) three months.

When he with two astronauts took the rocket and {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (到达;抵达) the space station safely, all his family and friends felt really {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(感到自豪的;感到骄傲的) of him. One thing he loved on the station was looking at the earth from space. It looked so beautiful that he wanted to {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(发送) a message from space. He wanted people to think about how important the {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(环境) is for everyone on the earth. He {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(期盼;等待) people to take care of the earth as well.

One day, perhaps more people can be the {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(客人;宾客) of space. Scientists are working hard on it. There could be a {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(航天器;宇宙飞船) for short trips, and then people could see the earth, the moon and stars from space.

It was the last day of school and I planned to travel to my 1  home town. I hadn't seen him for years and this was a good 2  to meet him again.

I was busy at school 3  it was rather late when I came back home. It was already o'clock at night. 4  was running out. After a hurried meal, I left. 5  , I found a taxi very soon. Asking the driver to drive me 6  to the station, I relaxed for a while, imagining what my friend 7 now. I was soon at the station and was sure that I would be able to 8 the train. However, I fell on the way and lost some time. To my complete 9  , when I reached the platform, I saw that the train had just left! It was the last train, so I had to 10  home. How terrible my day was! I even wanted to cry.

When Dorota Siewert played the piano as a child in Poland, she never imagined she would later develop a connection with the harp that would lead her to many cities and countries in the world, including Shenzhen. Siewert began playing the piano at the age of 6 and continued until 14. When she had the chance to pick.another instrument, she chose the harp for its beautiful shape as well as its beautiful sound. Becoming a harp artist was her dream. During her studies, she began performing in concert. As the only harp student, she got her first job to perform at a hotel in Oman. "I was able to make enough money to buy my own harp!" she recalled.

Siewert had performed in several countries. She enjoyed attracting audiences with her music. In 2016, personal changes forced Siewert to look for work in Hong Kong. She took the chance, which led her to discover information about Shenzhen. She received an invitation from a local school. " On arrival, a dinner at Sea World and the fountain music show were fantastic introductions to the city."

Siewert presently teaches music at Quality School International in Nanshan. She is teaching eight students aged 8 to 11. To encourage more students to choose the harp, she actively guides them in preparing for concerts. "Teaching the harp was my first step to develop greater interest in this wonderful instrument," she remarked. " My pupils' passion for learning encourages me to make this instrument more popular locally." "It's not difficult, it's just unfamiliar." She often reminds her students of the importance of hope and patience." Facing challenges develops a sense of achievement —the most important I hope they take away from my lessons."She said.

Traffic police in Wuhan，Hubei Province，have finished the wish of a sick 5﹣year﹣old girl. They1 her to be a traffic officer for a day. 

Liu Yihan was diagnosed（诊断） with a rare（罕见的） cancer that chiefly affects children under the age of 52 her wish to keep everyone safe. Liu never complains to her mother Hu Yuting，but her wish to be a traffic officer really 3 her mother's heart. 

"I hope her dream is strong enough to get her through treatment，which will be 4 ，" u said. When she told her daughter's story to the traffic police brigade in Qiaokou District，the community where the family lives，they were moved and 5 to help Liu's wish come true. 

Du Zewen，an officer with the brigade，said that the chief officers decided to help the mother and the little girl. He told the other members of the brigade6 of becoming a traffic officer come true. She is so 7 ，but she is suffering（忍受） from such a painful disease. "

On the afternoon of Septemnber 20，Liu and her mother were warmly welcomed by the brigade. They 8 her in a specially made uniform and told her that she was a "visiting policewoman". Little Liu was taken through the everyday routine of a traffic officer and taught a few basic 9 . She was excited and soon went on duty with the other members.
