    Life（生活）was different in my grandpa's hometown many years ago.

    In the past, people cooked on a fire. They didn't have TVs or radios. There were no buses. They had to live in small houses. They didn't have enough food.

    Now, there are lots of buses and cars in Grandpa's hometown. They live in big houses or buildings. They cook with natural gas（天然气）and have lots of food. They can use mobile phones（手机）. They even have computers and use the Internet.

    It is Saturday . The Browns are at home . Mrs Brown is in the kitchen . She's making apple pies . he pies she makes are very delicious . Do you want to have a taste?Mr Brown isn't in the living room . He is outside . He is washing his car . The car is new and very beautiful . So he looks after it very well . Jim is in the garden . He is playing football with some other boys . Where is his sister, Sue? She's in her bedroom with her friend，Ann . They are watching the Animal World . 

My father's day

    My father is a teacher. He teaches Chinese. He likes his job and his students. And the students like him too. He goes to work from Monday to Friday. He does not work on Saturday and Sunday. Every day, he gets up at five thirty. At six, he has breakfast. Then he goes running. He goes to school at seven. He has lunch at school. He goes home at five in the afternoon. At six o'clock, he has dinner. He doesn't watch TV. He likes reading books with me. He goes to bed at nine thirty.

    Elephants are mammals. They can be four metres tall. They don't eat meat. They only eat fruit, leaves and grass. They need a lot of food, so they spend most of their time eating. They only sleep for about four hours every night.

    The elephant has two long, white teeth called tusks. It is the only animal with a trunk-a special long nose. The elephant can use its trunk to pick up big tree or a small peanut. The elephant is also the mammal with the biggest ears. They look like two big fans.

    Elephants live in Africa and Asia. They live together in family groups. They are very strong, very smart and of course, very, very big.

    Look at the animals. The elephant is playing basketball. The goat(山羊) is riding a bike. The lion is playing football. They are very happy. Do you like these animals?
