My pen pal

Hello, everyone! My name is Bella. I have a pen pal. Her name is Ivy. She is 12 years old. She comes from Canada. But she lives in China now.

Ivy has long hair and big eyes. She is kind and friendly. She has many hobbies. She likes reading stories. And she is good at drawing cartoons. She is interested in going hiking. I like going hiking, too. So we often go hiking together on weekends. Next year, she is going to learn to cook Chinese food. Ivy is my best pen pal. Do you want to be my pen pal? Please write to me.

Elephants are clever. They can play football. They can also draw very well. Elephants can walk for a long time and never get lost. They can also remember places with food and water.

But they are in great danger now. People cut down too many trees, so elephants lose their homes. People also kill elephants for the ivory (象牙). There were more than 100,000 elephants before, but today there are only about 3,000 in Thailand. We must save the elephants and not buy things made of ivory. Remember that 13th March is Thailand Elephant Day.
