Hello! My name is Maggie. I'm ten years old. I come from Australia. Australia is the largest island in the world. It is a little smaller than China. It is in the south of the earth. Australia is big, but its population is small. The population of it is nearly as large as that of Shanghai. I live in Sydney, Australia. I love this city. It's clean and beautiful. There are four seasons in Sydney. I like summer best because I can go swimming and surfing on the beach. Christmas is also in summer. You know? It's strange. We have a holiday for Christmas．On Christmas Day, my father drives us to the beach. I like to surf in the sea. My sister likes to make sandcastles and my brother likes to play balls with our dog．My parents like to hide the presents in the sand. We have to find our presents. It's really fun.

    Tomorrow is June first. It's Children's Day. I am going to have a happy holiday. I am going to go to the library and read books. I am going to go to the park and take pictures with my friends. I am going to play computer games with my brother. I am going to help my mother make dinner. I am going to go shopping with my mother.

    Last year, I went to the USA. It was great!

    I visited the Empire State Building(帝国大厦).

    It was the tallest building in the world from 1931 to late 1970.

    I saw the Statue of Liberty(自由女神像).

    I went inside the statue.

    I took a lot of pictures there.

    And I saw the White House.

    I bought some beautiful postcards.

    Then I went to the Wild Animal Park.

    I had dinner there. I was very happy!

    It was really a nice journey!

    Next week is a holiday. My family will go to Qingdao. I'll take my ball. But my little sister doesn't like balls. She will take her kite. My big brother will go swimming. My father and mother are going to visit their friends in Qingdao. We love holidays!

    This is my uncle's farm. It's so big. There are nine horses and seven pigs there. There are so many ducks and rabbits. There is one dog on the farm. It's so big. Its name is Peter. Peter is black. He has two long ears and two black eyes. He is my friend. I like Peter very much.
