Have you heard of Zhu Yanjun, a middle-aged builder from a small village in Gansu Province? Can you believe that he1 the second prize in Chinese Poetry Competition hosted by CCTV in February, 2023?

Born in a family of farmers, Zhu's love for 2 started from a very young age under the influence of his Chinese teacher. He dreamed of writing his own books one day, just like his teacher.3 he finished middle school, Zhu went to big cities to look for jobs. He worked for house building in more than ten 4 Wherever he was, he went to local bookstores with a notebook. He would take notes from the books and 5 the words in a dictionary to check the meanings.

At the beginning, he read poems from the Tang Dynasty and poems written by Chairman Mao Zedong. As time went by, he found some6 methods to remember them. He especially likes Chairman Mao's words:7 in the world is difficult for one who sets his mind to it. Over the years, he has read 8 poems and can memorize more than 1,000 of them.

There is an old Chinese saying."Reading 10, 000 books is not as good as traveling 10, 000 miles."Zhu said, "9 I have been to many different cities, it is not for travel.I get to know the history and traditions of many places by reading books and poems. It opens up a new 10 for me." Reading also helps him live 11 and he never complains about hard work. There are 12 everywhere in his home, so he can read whenever he wants.

Zhu was very 13 in his children's study. The children were required to finish their homework and do some reading before they play. "Getting a good education is very important for my kids, because knowledge can bring14 a better life," said Zhu.

Zhu is already 50 years old, but he keeps on learning all the time. His story tells us that learning is a lifelong journey. Whether we are old or 15 , we should always learn to improve ourselves. Our life time is limited. Let's put it to good use.

This is my family. My grandpa's name is Harry Brown, and my grandma's name is Jean Brown. These are my father Jeff and my mother Lily. I have a sister, and her name is Gina Brown. My name is Tom Brown. We're in No.1 Middle School. In my family, I have a cat Mimi and a dog Vivi. Mimi is yellow and white, and Vivi is black and white. They are very lovely, and my family is also very warm（温暖的）.I love my family.

Peppa is a little pig. Many people know her name because they can see her on TV. Peppa has a big family. Here are her three family photos. Let's have a look.

Now, let me tell you more about Peppa's family. Peppa is in red. She has many friends. She likes playing in muddy puddles (泥坑) . George is in a blue T- shirt. He likes playing with his sister. Daddy Pig is in a green T- shirt. He loves watching TV. He doesn't like doing sports. Mummy Pig works on her computer. She is in orange. She very nice. Grandpa Pig is in purple and Grandma Pig is in pink. Peppa loves going to her grandparents' home. Because grandma Pig always makes her favorite cake!

Eva and Norman are both 80 years old. 

They are1 to animals. In December, 2021, they went on a mountain near their house to look after poor birds. They 2 a bad snowstorm. On their way home, the heavy 3 stopped them. And it was terribly 4 . Eva thought they couldn't get home any more. She thought they could 5 because of the bad storm. They were in great 6 !
