Our brain is the most important part in our body. It helps us to think, speak, feel, and move. It's no wonder we need to look after it and just like the rest of our body. We need to keep it exercised to keep it healthy.

Our brain is made up of 86 billion neurons—or nerve cells (神经元), but as we age, some of these gradually die off. In serious situations, nerve cells in different areas of the brain become hurt and finally die, leading to a condition called dementia (痴呆), which influences a person's ability to think properly.

It's a good idea to train our brain by learning ways to increase our memory and intelligence. For example, solving crossword puzzles (字迹) can be really helpful. Dr Catherine Loveday, who's a neuropsychologist, thinks learning a second language is also great for the brain, as it requires us to switch (切换) between languages, making our brain stronger.

However, if you don't speak another language, there are still ways to train your brain. If you're right-handed, try performing tasks like brushing your teeth with your left hand to improve your brain.

The main reason we do these exercises is to keep our brain active. It can help to develop additional abilities to help protect the brain against the loss of memory or thinking. Dr Catherine Loveday, says, "Even if people take up languages or other activities later in life, it will provide them with a degree of protection." As an old saying goes, "It's never too old to learn."

According to a study, people are surprised to know about that eating chocolate might increase our ability to get and use knowledge. It could improve how you learn and use information. Although it might not be good for the rest of your body, at least it could make you a brain box!

The World Cup is an international football competition that takes place every four years. In 2022, the World Cup took place in Qatar, a country in the Middle East.

The World Cup usually begins in summer. To {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(避免) the heat, this World Cup 2022 lasted from November to December. There were 32national teams and 64 matches {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(在……期间) 28 days of the World Cup.

Another attraction of the 2022 World Cup is that Chinese elements are {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(到处) in Qatar. The Lusail Stadium was designed by China Railway Construction in Corporation. Besides the stadium, {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(几乎)70 percent of the World Cup's souvenirs are made in Yiwu, China.

This 2022 World Cup has produced many football  (英雄). It's no doubt Lionel Messi is the first player to come to our mind. Messi is {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(矮的) than most of the other players at about 5 feet 7 inches, but he showed his talent for football at an early age. It helped him {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(成长) into what he is now. He once said to {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(他自己), "Since I started playing football, I have  (经历) a lot of things. Some are positive, and some are very difficult."

Most people want to work, but it has become more difficult in today's world to find work for everyone. The economy of the world needs to grow by 4% each year just to keep the old number of jobs for people. Often this is not possible, and so more people are out of work. Some people have no jobs now because new machines can do the work of many people in short time. Also, machines do not ask for more money and longer holidays. In all the countries of the world, machines are taking work from people, not only in factories but also on the farms. One machine can often do the work of forty people. About 75,000 people are moving to the cities a day to look for jobs, but only 70% of them can find jobs.

Do you know the lion dance? It's part of traditional Chinese culture. People often perform in the night 1 the Chinese New Year. They also perform it for other happy occasions（时刻）. The lion dance is believed to 2 good luck and success. 

There are many different stories about how the lion dance 3 . One of them is like this! Hundreds of years ago, a monster called Nian came to a village in China. The villagers were 4 . Luckily, a lion chased（追逐）Nian away. A year later, Nian came back again, 5 this time the lion couldn't help. The villagers had to 6 themselves. Their "lion" danced, jumped and chased Nian away. For this 7 , people began to perform the lion dance before the Spring Festival to chase bad luck away.

We like our classroom. It is a very beautiful classroom. It's big 10 clean. We clean it every day.
