Students like taking pictures of their school meals. Bella is one of them. She likes to write too. So she started her own blog (博客). Every day, she writes on the Internet about the meals at her school with pictures of the food. Many students read her blog. 

Bella describes the taste of the food. Sometimes she likes the food, but sometimes she does not. She also tells the value of healthy food. So students know how important it is to eat the right food. Now, many students send pictures to Bella. She shares their stories and pictures of school meals on her blog! 

Bella starts her blog for another important reason. She raises money for Mary's Meals. Mary's Meals works in Malawi in Africa. It offers free lunch to children. Bella calls on her readers to collect money for Mary's Meals. She hoped to raise about 10,000 dollars. But the number went up to 20,000 dollars and still keeps growing fast! 

Bella's blog has also helped to improve meals at her school. Bella and her school friends found their meals improved after she started her blog. 

No one knows what will happen to Bella's blog in the future. But this girl helps to change the eating experience of many children just by sharing pictures of her school meals. 

One summer evening, Sylvie hurried the cow through the forest, following a path to her grandmother's home.

Suddenly she heard a loud whistle(哨子声).

"Hello," a young man carrying a gun called out cheerfully, "I've been hunting for birds." he explained,"but I've lost my way." Sylvie led the stranger through the forest.When they reached her house, the stranger explained his problem to Sylvie's grandmother and was invited to stay there for the night.

After dinner, the young man said he was a scientist, who collected birds."Do you put them in a cage?" Sylvie asked."No," he answered,"I shoot birds and put something special into them to preserve them.I have over 100 different kinds of birds at home.Their feathers(羽毛) look as bright as before."

"Sylvie knows a lot about birds too," her grandmother said proudly.

"Maybe she can help me," the young man said."I saw a white heron(鹭) not far from here two days ago.I've been looking for it ever since.It's a tall, strange bird with white wings.Have you seen it?" he asked Sylvie.Sylvie didn't answer.Her heart began to beat fast.She had seen that bird! The young man added."I would give $10 to the person who showed me where the bird is."

That night Sylvie thought about the wonderful things she and her grandmother could buy with ten dollars.She also wanted to be the young man's friend, because she had never seen anyone so handsome.

When the sun began to rise, Sylvie quietly left her house and hurried to a huge tree.She wanted to climb to the top of the tree where she could see the whole forest.

Sylvie's face was pale when, at last, she reached the top.Suddenly, a bird with big white wings flew past her and landed on a branch below her.The other white heron was sitting on the ne st in a nearby tree.Now Sylvie knew the bird's secret! An hour later, Sylvie returned to the house.The young man would give them the money they needed.Besides, Sylvie wanted to make him happy.But Sylvie was silent.She remembered how the white heron flew through the air and how they watched the sun rise together from the top of the forest.Sylvie could not speak.Finally, she decided to keep the secret of the white heron.

The young man went away later that day and never returned.

Welcome to my home town Wenzhou. Wenzhou is a city with {#blank#}1{#/blank#} long history. It has a population of about 9.67 {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(million). It is a popular tourist attraction (旅游胜地). It is as {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(popular) as Shaoxing. The weather here is not too hot {#blank#}4{#/blank#} too cold, and you can come at any time of the year.

When you join a team sport, you commit to practices and games. This means you will keep exercising because you have made a promise to the team to show up and play. And there will also be some rules you must follow. If you don't follow them, you will be out of the team. 

Team sports develop healthy competition. You can't always win, but you can certainly try your best to win! When you don't quite make it, make sure you show good sportsmanship to other players or teams when you win. And don't be sad if you lose. Just practice and try again, and there are always more chances. 

Team sports are also a lot more fun than doing something alone. You can make a lot of friends. When you join a sport team, it's certain that you will know more people. You can also learn a lot about games and other people. 

However, if you just want to exercise quietly, running and swimming are good choices. 

When we were young, people always liked to question us about what kind of job we wanted to have. And some school students said they wanted to be a scientist, a computer programmer, or a {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(飞行员). 

To be honest, I didn't know what I wanted to be when I was a middle school student. My mother wanted me to be a pianist, but I didn't take it {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(严肃地) because I couldn't {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(忍受)practicing it every day. My father wanted me to be an engineer like him, but I thought it was {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(毫无意义的). 

Through some years, I went to college to go on my {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(教育). I kept everything in all my {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (日记). At the start of the new term, I got a part-time job at the school radio station. I {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(期待) to discuss the school life with other students and make many friends there. 

Without this working experience, I could never know what I really wanted. 

Four years later, I got a full-time job at our local radio station. I hoped that I could {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(改善)other people's life. So I made a {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(承诺) to myself that I would work hard on it and they just did what I advised. My program was quite {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(成功的) and I had lots of fans. I enjoy my job and my life now.
