What do you like doing in your free time? I like1 best. Last week, l saw a movie called I, Robot. It2 us a story about the future with robots. 

lt is the year of 2035 and people can see robots everywhere. Robots can help people do a lot of things, like looking after the old people or babies, washing, cooking, cleaning or3 dogs for a walk. Robots do4 people ask them to do. But a policeman with the5 of Spooner doesn't like robots, because he doesn't think that people can get on well6 robots. One day, a scientist(科学家)dies. He leaves a robot. Some time later, Spooner7 something wrong with the robots in the world. A lot of robots have8 own thoughts and want to control(操纵)human beings. If the robots win, it will be very9 for people. Susan is another scientist working on10 Finally, Susan and Spooner decide to11 together to fight against these robots and they12 . People control the robots13 . I think the movie is very14 . lf you have interest in15 too, why not go and see it? 

I still remember when I was a little boy, I would always draw pictures on books and walls. It's my favourite 1 , and art has always been my favorite subject.

But now in middle school, there is only one art lesson each week, which is far from enough for me. How I wish the school could 2 the number of art lessons for students like me! I always get completely 3 in my artwork, and the 45 minutes for each lesson passes quickly. It is as if 4 takes me to another world.

I enjoy drawing so much. Even between classes, I always find myself drawing something. I have spent so much time 5 drawing that even my classmates will praise (赞扬) my works. But I've never been 6 . I just keep on drawing my pictures.

I especially enjoy drawing 7 . I have cartoons of all the teachers I know. Letting my creativity run freely, I sometimes draw things that even 8 myself. I don't even know how to describe some of them to you.

I always feel 9 when I am drawing something—I just let my feelings guide my hand. For me, drawing is a natural way to show myself and it 10 me to follow my heart. And the result (结果) is always a good one.

Last week, I finally succeeded in asking my parents to buy me a new football shirt for the school match. I was very excited and wore it to the training before the match, but I wished I hadn't done that! My new shirt was torn(扯破) after the training and only a tailor(裁缝) could help!

As I walked home worriedly, I saw a shop sign: All Kinds of Repairs(修补) and Services! I went inside at once. I looked around the shop and saw broken toys, broken chairs… I wondered if I was in the wrong place. Just at that moment, a man with white hair came up to me and said cheerfully, " Welcome! This is a repair shop and I can repair everything!"

"But… what I need is a tailor to deal with my football shirt."

"You've come to the right place. I've been waiting a long, long time to repair a football shirt."

"Really?"I held the shirt in my hands.

To my surprise, he took the shirt from me, put on glasses and sat down on the sofa with my shirt in his hands. "I guess you are a striker(前锋),"he smiled warmly. How could he know? The man gave me a wink and said calmly,"See that picture on the wall? That was me 30 years ago. "

I couldn't believe my eyes! He was Orhan, the famous footballer who was on the city team years ago! I told him I was playing for the school team and I had been his fan for years. I told him everything, my dream, my practice and even my dad's words. "Dad thinks I should be an engineer or a doctor."I lowered my head.

"Follow your dream, choose a job you love and carry on."The man smiled at me with his blue eyes. He patted(轻拍) me on the shoulder and put the shirt he had repaired in my bag.

Today I have become a footballer and I still keep that shirt in my closet.

My happy summer vacation

Wang Xinyao and her parents will never forget the special day— July 22nd, 2022. On that day, Wang 1 the admission letter (录取通知书) from Peking University in Beijing. Two important people from the university travelled to Wang's high school in Changchun, Jilin Province to give her the2 news. 

In the 2022 gaokao, Wang got a 3 of 618. As we know, it isn't easy for most high school students to 4 that high scores. And Peking University is most Chinese students' dream university. You can 5 how difficult it is for a girl who can't walk. Wang Xinyao hurt badly  6 she was practising dance moves at the age of 6. Her parents took her to many  7 in Beijing, but doctors said she would never walk.8 , her parents didn't give up. Over the next two years, the family9 in Beijing for Wang's rehabilitation (康复). 

"She often asked us when she could return to school and whether she would be 10 to walk and run like other children," her dad said. After returning to Changchun, they went to the local Education Bureau (教育局) for 11 . Finally Wang Xinyao went to study at Shuguang Primary School. 

"My daughter is 12 to meet so many kind teachers and classmates. From primary school to high school, her classrooms are always on the first floor," her dad said. To 13 the gaokao, Wang studied much harder. She never went to bed before midnight,14 during her third year. 

"I want to thank my parents, my teachers and classmates.15 their care and help, I would never have been able to make my dream come true," said Wang. 

Nick and I are in the same class. He doesn't study well and he never talks with us. He doesn't have many friends. Today is Tuesday. We are studying in the classroom.

"Hi, Tom. My birthday is on this Saturday. I'd like to invite you to my party. I think it must be cool," Nick says to me.

I am very happy and want to be at the party, but I'm afraid (害怕) my friends will laugh at me. "If you study well, I will go."

"Oh, oh, OK. Cool." Nick says. With his head down, Nick goes away.

In the afternoon, I know most of my classmates will go to the party. They say they want to be Nick's friends and help him. My face turns red. I want to say sorry to Nick tomorrow. And I will buy a birthday present for him.
