Most people want to work, but it has become more difficult in today's world to find work for everyone. The economy of the world needs to grow by 4% each year just to keep the old number of jobs for people. Often this is not possible, and so more people are out of work. Some people have no jobs now because new machines can do the work of many people in short time. Also, machines do not ask for more money and longer holidays. In all the countries of the world, machines are taking work from people, not only in factories but also on the farms. One machine can often do the work of forty people. About 75,000 people are moving to the cities a day to look for jobs, but only 70% of them can find jobs.

Have you ever been to Ireland? If not, you should think of spending a vacation there. The Republic of Ireland stands in the south of the island. There are about 3, 470, 000 people in the country and the weather is quite wet but warm. Falls of snow in Ireland are most unusual. 

Ireland is full of interesting things to do. You'll find restaurants and café everywhere. Most of them have a long list（清单） of Irish food and drinks. After your meal, you can take a walk along the shore（岸）. The countryside is good for horse riding. Other sports you may want to do are sailing, boating, swimming, fishing and golfing. Ireland is famous for its theaters and festivals. So, why don't you stay longer for a party or a concert? 

The Irish people are kind and friendly. From mountains to beaches you will find people ready to stop and talk about the weather, the local geography or history and maybe about what you should see next. The Irish people have kept their own culture of music and literature（文学） well. Different areas have different kinds of music. In towns and villages people get together in the evening to sing and play music. They also get together to read their own poems to each other. Meeting such people is really fun, isn't it? 

What Jobs Are We Going to Need?

 People have to work. They need jobs. What fields have jobs? The most important thing is that we need to know what jobs {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(need) in the future?

 The medical field is going to need {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(work). In 2010, there were 524 million people over the age of 65 in the world. In 2050, the number of older people will be three times{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(big) than before. We need nurses and other medical workers to care for them. We also need family doctors. Family doctors have to work for many {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(hour). Because of this, not very many medical students study to be family doctors. In addition, there are jobs for medical researchers. They do research and develop new medicine and technology {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(help) people. Businesses want to sell this medicine and technology to people {#blank#}6{#/blank#} need them.

 Another popular field is the computer field. It is a field with different kinds of jobs. Some people, like IT managers, help people in schools, hospitals, and companies {#blank#}7{#/blank#} they have computer problems. Other people design and create new technology. For example, 20 percent of people in the world have  {#blank#}8{#/blank#} smartphone. This is a phone that can do the same things computers do. More and more people {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(use) technology, so businesses are always designing newer computers and phones {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(quick).

 What do these jobs have in common? People need the help of these workers. This is why these fields are growing. When there is a need, there is a job.
