In Los Angeles (洛杉矶), people often go to work by car. Sometimes they go by bus. They like to go to work by taxi if they are in a hurry. Taking a taxi can be quickly, but it can make traffic jams, too.

Eating is important for everyone. But not many people have right food.

"Fast food is easy, quick and delicious, "says Sarah Hudson, a 14-year-old high school student from America. She is enjoying her lunch at McDonald's. She eats fast food about twice a week.

Now each American eats about three hamburgers and four bags of potato chips every week.That is 2, 520 calories (卡路里). A man needs about 2, 000 calories for a whole day.

Most Americans know that fast food isn't good for them. But it seems that they can't give it up(放弃). In fact, fast food restaurants are part of American life. 96% of American people know McDonald's.
