Nobody wants to be aged, but{#blank#}1{#/blank#}it comes to visiting cities, most of us want to visit the world's oldest cities. Luoyang is one of the oldest and most {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(attract) cities in the world that I'd like to recommend to you.

    Luoyang stands out{#blank#}3{#/blank#}The oldest continually inhabited (持续居住的) city in Asia. The city is considered to be{#blank#}4{#/blank#}birthplace of Chinese culture and history as well as being one of the Seven Ancient Capitals of China. There  {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (be) no other city in China that has seen so many{#blank#}6{#/blank#}dynasty) like Luoyang.

    With such a long and exciting history, Luoyang has really a lot{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(offer). The longmen Grottoes(龙门石窟), which{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(include) in the world Heritage List since 2000, and many historic Buddhist temples{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(constant) attract tourist from all over the world. Luoyang is also famous for the White Horse Temple, the earliest Buddhist temple{#blank#}10{#/blank#}build) in China. Are you anxious to visit the city?

    I am a new student of Senior High. I am interested {#blank#}1{#/blank#} our school life. Let me tell you something about it.

    Every morning I go to school at 7:00. The first class {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (begin) at 8 o'clock. We now have {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (many) subjects than in junior school, {#blank#}4{#/blank#} we are not boring. You know why? That's because we have so many good {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (teacher) now. Our English teacher is always {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (enthusiasm) and we are very excited to work with her. Sometimes, we have misunderstanding between us. For example, once we {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (tell) to guess the meaning of each word, and so we thought {#blank#}8{#/blank#} not necessary to remember these words. But now we try {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (keep) more words in mind.

    Our after-school activities are also colorful. Among so many activities, I like playing basketball very much with my classmates {#blank#}10{#/blank#}Wednesday afternoons. I believe my senior life must be enjoyable.

    There's no electricity {#blank#}1{#/blank#} water. However, one thing is for sure, I've become more imaginative in my teaching. Science is my most {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (challenge) subject as my students have no concept of doing experiments. In fact, there is no {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (equip), and if I need water, I have to carry it from my house in {#blank#}4{#/blank#} bucket! The other day I {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (show) the boys the weekly chemistry experiment when, before I knew it, the mixture was bubbling over everywhere. Sometimes I wonder {#blank#}6{#/blank#} relevant chemistry is to these students, most of {#blank#}7{#/blank#} will be going back to their villages after Year 8 anyway.

    Tombe's father, Mukap, led us to his house, a low bamboo hut with grass {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (stick) out of the roof — this shows it is a man's house. There were no windows and the doorway was just big enough to get through. The hut was dark inside so it took time for our eyes {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (adjust). Fresh grass had been laid on the floor and there was a newly {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (make) platform for Jenny and me to sleep on.
