Tom and Mike are good friends. They are good to kids. They want to find summer jobs. One day Tom tells Mike that Beidaihe Kids Summer Camp needs help with sports, music and computers. They are both very glad to hear this.

It has been eight years since US astronaut Scott Kelly and Russian astronaut Mikhail Kornienko returned to the earth after living on the International Space Station(ISS) for 340 days. Times goes quickly, but it still means a lot as it is a record-setting journey — the longest time humans have spent living on the ISS.

"I Can Look Down on the Earth"

From the ISS, I can look down on the earth. Some parts of the world are covered by gases(气体) from factories and cars. These parts make the earth look sick.

But one of my favourite parts is the Bahamas, which are islands in the Atlantic Ocean. The ocean is a mix of deep and light blues. I am lucky to see it.

I've been here for three weeks already. Sometimes, I wake up and think I'm upside down. My room is just big enough for me. I sleep in a sleeping bag. However, from the outside, the station looks like huge cans (金属容器) connected to each other. It is about the size of a football field.

Getting dressed is a bit hard when you can't "sit" or "stand", but I've got used to it. The hardest thing is putting on my socks. There is no gravity(重力) to help me bend(弯腰) over. I have no trouble deciding what to wear. I wear the same things every day.

The Mogao Caves are a very special place in China, which are located in Dunhuang, Gansu Province. The Mogao Caves are thousands of years old and were listed as a world heritage (遗产) site by UNESCO in 1987.

Many people, including archaeologists ( 考古 学家) and researchers, work hard to take care of the Mogao Caves and learn more about them. Fan Jinshi is one of them.

Fan was born in Beijing on July 9, 1938. Her father was a graduate of Tsinghua University and had a strong interest in Chinese classical art and culture.

Influenced by her father, Fan liked visiting museums when she was in middle school. With the great love of Chinese culture, she studied in the archaeology department in Peking University and graduated in 1963. Then she started working at Dunhuang and has worked there ever since. She spends almost 60 years taking care of Dunhuang. People call her the " Daughter of Dunhuang".

On May 4, 2023, "Daughter of Dunhuang" Fan Jinshi returned to Peking University and brought back 10 million RMB donations to set up the Fan Jinshi Education Fund (基金) to    ▲  .

"Money made should be spent in the right way. People cannot only think of themselves," she said. "Hopefully the setting of the Fund can help Dunhuang studies at the university, so it can raise cultural confidence and strength. "

Recently, we did a survey about our students' ideas about what kinds of things are the most important in a friend. Here are the {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. 

We found that half of the students think a good friend should have the same hobbies {#blank#}2{#/blank#} they do. Twenty percent hope their friends to be good listeners and can make them {#blank#}3{#/blank#} when they're sad. For another twenty percent, a good friend should be {#blank#}4{#/blank#} talented in something than they are so that these friends can help bring out the best in {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. The rest of the students like good-looking people with cool clothes to be their friends.

 After a long vacation from school, it's often hard to get back into the study routine. Your mind is probably filled with short-term memory gaps and new experiences that make you feel like your brain has been taking a long nap. Since schools will go back to their normal system, students also need to get ready early. Here are some simple tips that can help you get back into the swing of studying:

Create the desire(欲望) to learn.

 The driving force behind achieving success in life is desire. As a student, you must have the de- sire to learn. When there is a desire to learn, it will help you get back to your study habit faster. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Learning can be difficult, but fear and worrying won't solve the problem either.

Make a list of priorities.

 Once you' ve got the basics down, it's time to make a list of what's important. This is the most important step in any plan: you have to put your tasks in order and make sure they' re not all piled up on top of each other. Don't forget that there are also time limits involved. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}

Find a way to track your progress.

 There are several ways to make sure you keep track of your progress. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} If not, then find one online or at school, and make sure it's easy to find when you need it. This way, even if you forget what day a task is due(到期), there will always be some kind of reminder nearby to tell you when things need to be done next time.

 It's okay to ask for help. You don't have to do it alone, and the more people who help you, the better. You will learn from their experiences and feel more confident by being able to make your own decisions when needed.
