Hello! I'm Darning. I usually get up at half past six and have breakfast at seven o'clock. Then I go to school at half past seven. Classes start at eight o'clock. I have lunch at school at twelve o'clock. I go home at half past five in the afternoon. I don't like playing sports. I like reading books. After dinner. I read books and then go to bed at nine o'clock.

    On a sunny day, Small Bear went boating with Papa. They bought hats first. Papa got a small hat for his big head. Small Bear got a big hat for his small head. Papa's hat was too small.

    Small Bear's hat was too big! They exchanged(交换) hats. Just right! Then, they came to the boat.  It had two seats. Papa sat on the small seat. Small Bear sat on the big seat. Papa Bear was too heavy. Small Bear was too light. They exchanged seats. Just right! After boating, they had lunch nearby. Papa got a small bowl. Small Bear got a big bowl. The food in the small bowl was too little for Papa. And the food in the big bowl was too much for Small Bear. They exchanged bowls. What a good meal!

    This is Mike's bedroom. You can see a desk and a bed in the room. On the desk, there is a backpack and three books. One is a Chinese book, the other two are English books. There is a clock on the desk, too. You can see a baseball under the desk. On the bed there is a box. Can you guess what's in the box? Ah, it's a new computer game. It's the present(礼物) for Mike's seventh birthday.

    It is Saturday morning. Mrs. Black and her daughter Kate go to the bookshop near their house. Mrs. Black wants to buy some picture books for her grandson. Kate wants to buy some storybooks. In the bookshop Kate meets her old classmate, Sue. They are good friends. They talk and talk for a long time and forge to buy books. At twelve o'clock Mrs. Black finds them and asks Sue to go and have lunch in their house, Sue says: “Yes.” The two girls are very happy.

    An old woman can't read or write. One day she asks a young man to write a letter for her. She wants to send the letter to her son. Her son lives in a city, not very far from here.

    "I can't write your letter." says the man, "Because I have a bad leg."

    "I know." says the old woman, "but you don't write with your legs." "Yes. But I can't walk so far and read the letter for your son."

    "What do you mean, sir?" says the old woman. "My son can read it by himself."

    "Don't you know?" answers the man, "that only I can read what I write."
