I was doing some last-minute Christmas shopping in a toy store. A nicely dressed little girl was 1 the teddy bears beside her father 2 she saw a little boy walk in and stop in front of the Pokemon toys. His jacket was obviously too small. He had money in his hand. However, it looked no more than five dollars at most. He was with his father, and kept picking up the Pokemon video games. Each time he showed 3 to his father, his father shook his head, "No".

    Rather disappointed, the boy gave up the video games and chose a book of stickers 4. After they walked away, the little girl ran over to the Pokemon video games. She excitedly picked up one 5 on top of the others, and ran toward the check-out. I picked up my purchases（购买物）and 6 the girl and her father.

    Then, much to the little girl's satisfactory（满意）, the little boy and his father got in line 7 her and me. After the video was paid for and bagged, the little girl handed it back to the cashier（收银员）and said something to her in a low voice. The cashier smiled and put the 8 under the counter（柜台）. I was putting things in my bag when the little boy came up to the cashier.     I suddenly understood that the world is not 10 into the strong who care and the weak who are cared for. We must each in turn care and be cared.

    Tony and Robert are neighbors, so their families sometimes 1 together. One day, Robert asked Tony for some 2, saying that he needed it for a business (生意).

I am a book lover. So my house is forever full of1. I have new ones, old ones, hard covers, paperbacks,2and non-stories. I have three boxes of books in my closet, two boxes of books on the floor of my bedroom, and a box of children's books3 for my future grandchildren. I have even more books4the two I wrote on my desk. I try to keep the books5 building up by donating as many as I can to the local6, but as soon as I donate a few, I find myself buying a few more.

   Books Iread keep my mind young, and my heart7,and soul bright. They bring me knowledge, laughter, and joy. They connect me withthe wisdom of the past and the new ideas of the8.They keep me moving on the right path as a journey through life.

    I havelearned that people are a lot like books as well. Some have bright and shiny covers9  don't have very much to say inside of them. Otherslook old and plain but so full of10and light that reading them can11yourwhole life. One difference between books and people, though, is that while a bookhas an ending, the writing inside of us12forever.

Take care when writing the book of your own life. Fill it with love for yourself, others and this world. Fill it with all the wisdom you have learned, goodness you have done,13you have shared, and joy you have14. Keep writing it every day, too. Make it everything you are and everything you want to be, and then15it to everyone. I know it will be a wonderful and fantastic book.

    Once upon a time, there was a rich man and a poor tailor(裁缝). They lived in {#blank#}1{#/blank#}same house. The rich man lived upstairs and the poor{#blank#}2{#/blank#}lived downstairs. The tailor liked to sing when he made clothes. He sang one {#blank#}3{#/blank#} after another. But the rich man liked to sleep a lot, and he couldn't get to sleep because of the singing.     One day, the rich man said, "Tailor, I will give you a bag full of {#blank#}5{#/blank#}every day if you stop singing. "Fine, "said the tailor. And so the tailor {#blank#}6{#/blank#}singing and became richer and richer. But the more money he got from the rich man, the {#blank#}7{#/blank#}he became, because he wanted very much to sing again.

    At last he brought all his money {#blank#}8{#/blank#}to the rich man. "Here, "he said, "take your money back. I won't be happy {#blank#}9{#/blank#} I can't sing. "He gave the money back to the rich man and went away singing. {#blank#}10{#/blank#}sang and sang and was happier than before.

After the winter vacation, I had to move to a new city with my parents. On the first day to my new school, it was cold and 1 . I was walking alone slowly 2 worrying about something in my new school. It was early and there weren't many people on the road. 3 , a girl who was riding a bike in the snow fell down. She was 4 hard to stand up but fell again. 5 thinking, I went over to help her quickly. She said "thank you" with a 6 and then left. Her smile warmed me a lot.

When Chandra went into Books ‘n' More, she noticed that there was no one else in the bookstore. The last four or five times she had stopped in here, she had also been the only customer. 

That night, Chandra told her family about the situation at the bookstore. Her brother Pete said, "The bookstore needs more people. How about starting a book club? People could meet in the store to discuss a book they've all read. If they buy it at the store, they'll receive a discount. "

Finally, everything was ready for the big night. Mrs. Lee opened the event. "Before I introduce tonight's writer, I must thank a young lady named Chandra Phillips. This exciting evening was mostly managed by her. If she were a little older, I would have her as my advertising director, " said Mrs. Lee. The crowd laughed and clapped. As Mr. Fletcher began to read from his latest book, Mrs. Lee took a seat next to Chandra. 

"Could I really work here someday?" Chandra asked. Mrs. Lee nodded with a smile. Chandra tried to listen to Mr. Fletcher, but her mind swam with even more ways to help Books ‘n' More be successful. After all, she had to protect her future job!
