Diana Armstrong, from the US, has broken the Guinness World Records for the world's longest nails (指甲).

She shared in an interview that she has no1 to cut her nails. That is the last connection she has to her elde daughter. Her elder daughter did her nails the night before she 2 unexpectedly in her sleep at the age of 16.

Diana said, "I have been 3 my nails for 25years. I had a(n) 4 time when my elder daughter left me forever. She was the only one who did my nails,5 I couldn't cut them off after that."

Diana's younger daughter, Raina, also talked about 6 she thought of her mother's nails. She said, "When she told us the back story was because of my sister, it 7 my mind towards it because, just as much as she 8 my sister, I did, too. So if that's her9 of remembering her, then I can accept."

It's quite 10 to keep the maintenance (保养) of the nails. She always has to depend on her children and grandchildren for help and 11 uses her feet when she can. But she has also gotten used to using her hands 12 breaking her nails.

Diana has not been able to live a completely normal life because she is13 that people would judge(评价) her when they see her nails. However, the recognition (认可) from Guinness World Records has made a 14 to her and given her the confidence to share her story.

"These nails are always a part of me just because of my elder daughter. I always keep15 close to me this way," said Diana.

How did artists learn English? Here are two examples.

After Rush Hour 2, Zhang studied English in New York. She not {#blank#}3{#/blank#} watched television but also listened to music in English. She {#blank#}4{#/blank#} attention to practice pronouncing words and tried to get them right. Then she found it easy to speak English well {#blank#}5{#/blank#}doing so. Zhang's biggest challenge came when she played the leading role in the film Memoirs of a Geisha. A friend told Zhang, {#blank#}6{#/blank#} will be difficult to express your feelings in English." But she took the part and studied even {#blank#}7{#/blank#}

Shakira is a Colombian singer and songwriter. Many people wanted to translate her songs from Spanish into English. Shakira agreed, {#blank#}8{#/blank#} she felt nervous about losing control of her music. Then she decided to write her own songs in English. Shakira wanted to know {#blank#}9{#/blank#} to use English to express feelings as well, so she also read newspapers and poetry.

Today, Shakira writes and plays her music {#blank#}10{#/blank#} both Spanish and English for fans around the world.
