BLACK FRIDAY

You probably know about Singles Day (November 11) in China. On this day, people usually stay up very late at night to shop online in order toa lot of money. Well, the US has something similar called Black Friday.

Black Friday is the Friday after Thanksgiving. Last year it fellNovember 29. It's the start of the holiday shopping season and most people don't have to go to work that day. So they start to think about what gifts they want tofor Christmas.

While Singles Day is usually for online, a lot of shopping on Black Friday is done at actual stores. It's March 12th. Li Li and Lin Tao are digging on a hill not far from their school. In China, people across the country plant trees 1 on this day.

·seven boards(each 10 cm wide): one 160 cm long; three 50cm long; one 30 cm long; two 60 cm long.

Step 1: Lay the boards on the ground. Make the shape. You will have two arm pieces left over. You will add them later.

Step 2: Ask an adult to nail(固定) the pieces together.

Step 3: Put the shirt on. Ask an adult to nail one arm piece to the shoulder. Then put on the gloves. Do the same with the other arm.

Step 4: Put on the skirt.

Step 5: Nail the pillow on top as the head. Draw eyes, a nose and a mouth on it.

Step 6: Stand the body up and put it where you want.

Step 7: Put the hat on and then put the boots under the skirt so it looks like it has feet.
