It's Sunday. The weather is 1 . It's a sunny day. Now we are at home. My father is reading a newspaper. He wants to 2 what is happening (发生) all over the world. My mother is 3 for us. We will have a big dinner. My uncle is a worker. He doesn't go to 4 today. What is he doing now? He is 5 . He likes basketball. He is watching NBA games on TV. 6 are my twin (双胞胎) sisters? Oh, 7 ! Lily is over there. She is singing. She likes 8 and her favorite singer is Justin. Lucy is in her room. She is writing an email 9 her pen friend. What am I doing? Oh, I am 10 . I am doing my homework.

Perseverance(坚持不懈)is the simplest yet the most difficult thing in the world, because everyone can do it but not everyone will do it. Only the one who can stick the simple thing out may make it.

Good Moments of Your Life

Bruce Kelly, a reporter interviewed some people and asked, "What are some of the good moments of your life?" Here are some of the answers.

Last week I went to an art show. A painting caught my eyes. To my amazement(惊奇), it was painted by Steven, one of my {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Then many things about him came into my mind. Steven was from a poor family. His parents{#blank#}2{#/blank#} not afford to buy him some basic things that he needed. Once our school provided gloves for poor children. I put Steven's name on the list. He was so {#blank#}3{#/blank#} when he received a pair. He loved to wear them and they were always {#blank#}4{#/blank#} than anybody else's. Steven had a gift(天赋) for painting and he could {#blank#}5{#/blank#} understand what I described in class. But he didn't have money to buy the paper for painting. So sometimes, I {#blank#}6{#/blank#} him some. He practiced hard. And I often showed his paintings of the class. He was greatly {#blank#}7{#/blank#}.

 One day just before the summer vacation, he came to {#blank#}8{#/blank#} some art books. When the new term began, he showed some of {#blank#}9{#/blank#} paintings to me. I felt shocked. They were very good. Then we talked a lot. He said he would keep on. Later he was admitted(录取) to a famous art university. After graduation, he had many difficulties, but he never gave up. He was always {#blank#}10{#/blank#} his best to improve himself. His hard work and strong mind led to his success.

The next class is the labour education (劳动教育) class. Lucy and her 1 are happy. They think the labour class is 2 but fun. They always do something different and meaningful in the class.

It's 10:00 am. Ms Zheng comes into the classroom and says, "3 , boys and girls! Today, let's 4 a Great Cake Game!"

"Nice!" all classmates say happily.

"There are 20 students in our class, and 5 students. make one cake," Ms Zheng says.

Then all students think about what cakes to make.

"We have 6 , strawberries and pears. How about a fruit cake?" Lucy says to her partners (搭档).

"Sounds good! Let's make it now!" Lucy's partners say.

After 30 minutes, on the teacher's desk are five cakes.

At this time, Ms Zheng comes to Lucy 8 a cake.

"Happy birthday, Lucy!" Ms Zheng says.

Lucy's classmates 9 cakes and say happy birthday to Lucy.

"Thanks! I don't have the first prize (奖项) 10 I have the best birthday cake!" Lucy says.
