阅读理解"I wish to send her a gift that represents (代表) the traditions and customs of China, and which she will like." said Chinese Olympic and world champion Zhang Yufei to Japanese swimming star Rikako Ikee at the Asian Games. The two female swimmers have developed a deeper friendship between them.
"I hope Ikee enjoys her trip in China. I hope she will enjoy the atmosphere (氛围) of the host city," said Zhang after winning the women's 100m butterfly (蝶泳) in new record time for the Asia—55.86s.
Competing against Zhang in the women's 100m butterfly, Ikee finishes in fifth place with a time of 58.98s. "I don't have ideal results, but I have tried my best," said Ikee.
"When I was in the second 50 meters, I could hear the loud cheering from the stands (看台). I know that sound was not all for me, but I found it encouraging."
Ikee was the brightest star in pool at the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games. However in 2019, she was badly ill. It has not been easy for the star to return to the pool. So, when Ikee stood on the podium (领奖台) in Hangzhou for winning silver (银) in the women's 4×100m freestyle relay on Sunday, she received a warm welcome from the crowd.
