It's a beautiful day for a walk in the forest in Copenhagen. But as you turn around a bend (拐弯)and raise your head, you see {#blank#}1{#/blank#}big face looking at you. A monster! Don't worry. It's not going to eat you. It's the {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(usual)sculpture (雕像) by Danish artist Thomas Dambo. And it's made out of trash(废物;垃圾)!

{#blank#}3{#/blank#}Dambo was a boy, he enjoyed building things like tree houses. But Dambo had no money {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(buy) the materials (材料;原料) he needed. So he would bike around his neighborhood looking{#blank#}5{#/blank#}trash that he could reuse for his big projects.

That childhood hobby now {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(become) a career for Dambo. Today, you can find Dambo's "trash" sculptures all over the world.

Dambo wants people to look at trash {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(different). More importantly, he wants people to realize the importance of reusing,{#blank#}8{#/blank#}he teaches children to build things from reused materials. Now they can make birdhouses from old {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(piece) of wood, carpets(地毯), paper bags and so on.

Next time, when you take out the trash, you can take a closer look at it. Let {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(you)imagination run wild and see what treasures might be hidden in the trash!

76-year-old Mark Levine has been living in Beijing for the past 19 years. He is a1 and song writer. He has written over 80 songs. One of them is called My China Surprise. In the song, he sings his true 2 in China.

Mark also teaches at the Minzu University of China. About 50% of the students 3 one of the 55 Chinese minorities (少数民族). Most of the time, 4 his students, he learns about their special traditions. "I am here as a teacher but I think my students have taught me as 5 as I have taught them," Mark said.

My Favourite Story

My favourite story is about Sima Guang. 

Once upon a time, there was a wise man {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(call) Sima Guang. One day, some{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(child) played hide- and- seek (捉迷藏) in the garden. While they{#blank#}3{#/blank#} (have) fun, one of them suddenly fell {#blank#}4{#/blank#} a big jar (缸). The big jar was full of water. The child was {#blank#}5{#/blank#} danger. The other children didn't know what {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(do). They shouted for help,{#blank#}7{#/blank#} there were no adults (成年人) around. Sima Guang was very smart. He used a stone (石头){#blank#}8{#/blank#}(break) the big jar while the child was shaking in the jar. The water ran out of it and the child was safe in the end. {#blank#}9{#/blank#} the adults knew that, they felt happy for his intelligence (才智). 

I learnt a lot from it. When we face difficulties, we should never give up(放弃). We can use our heads {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(work) them out. Do you like the story?

No one likes thieves (小偷), but for most people in a town in California, they just laugh when they find that something small is lost. That's because the thief is a cat. 

Jean Chu and her family adopted (收养) Dusty as their pet cat a few years ago. Not long after Dusty moved in, the family started finding new things around. One day, they would find a shoe. The next day, there would be a sock. At first, no one knew where these things came from. Soon they found that the things always showed up in the mornings. And who went out every night? That might be Dusty. However, it was difficult to catch Dusty in the act (当场). Soon workers of the TV show Must Love Cats heard about Dusty's story and they decided to make a film about Dusty. They used an infrared camera (红外摄像机). Sure enough, the camera caught Dusty in the act when he brought home a toy. 

Soon the film of Dusty became popular on the Internet. The cat is a celebrity (名人) now. People come to Chu's house to get back their things every day. They have become good friends with Chu and Dusty.
