An Unforgettable…

I walked into the Huddle House Restaurant in Brunswick, Georgia and sat down at the table. I picked up the menu and was to order something for breakfast.

"Excuse me,"

I looked up and1 a nice-looking woman standing before me.

"Is your name Roger?"2 asked.

"Yes, " I answered, feeling rather surprised as I had never seen her before.

"My name's Barbara and my3 is Tony," She said, pointing to a middle-aged man sitting alone at the table by the window. He was4 and weak.

"Tony White, from Landon School in Jacksonville, Florida," she added.

I looked at that man for a few seconds5 I didn't know him.

"I'm really sorry. The name doesn't  ring the bell," I said.

She walked back, began6 with her husband and once in a while I saw her turn around and look at me.

I ordered breakfast and a cup of7 , sitting there, trying to remember who this Tony was. "I8 know him," I thought to myself. "He knows me for some reason. " I picked up the coffee cup. All of a sudden(突然), it came to me like a flash of lightning. (一道闪电)

"Tony, the bully, the bad boy!" I could9 believe (相信) my eyes. "My God! He's so thin now. Not the big boy that I10 from back in 1997. "

Everything came up to my mind. The time this11 boy had made fun of my big ears in front of the girls in my class, and the time this big bully had pushed(推) me against the walls in the hallway just to make himself12 a big man to all other students.

"I am sorry, Roger," Tony rolled by me in the wheelchair(轮椅), being pushed by his wife, raising his thin, shaking hand. "I am so sorry for13 that I did to you. "

After a few months, I got a letter from Barbara. Tony was15 . Tony had been a fireman and had been seriously wounded (受伤) in a task.

Let me tell you about my hometown. I live in Kinsale. It may be one of the smallest towns in England.

The fish restaurant is very good. It takes ten minutes to get there from my house. It cooks the best fish for people. The food is delicious to eat. So you can see many people from different countries in the fish restaurant.

My town is very beautiful because it is near the sea. In summer it is very hot and you can go swimming in the sea. People here like swimming very much. There are three small shops and you can buy your friends many things there. You can pay a little for them. The big shop is next to the post office. Things there are expensive.

The people in my town are friendly. It is easy for you to make friends with them. If you feel sick, there is a hospital with doctors and nurses. They are always helping anyone in the small town.

Last month, I went to Yunnan for my holiday 1 my family. It was really enjoyable. Here I'd like to tell you 2 about my trip.

The first morning, we got up early when we were there. We decided 3 Lugu Lake first.

We went boating and saw some 4 games. All of us felt happy. Then we started to climb up a hill. On the top of the hill, we saw many beautiful and special flowers.

The 5 morning we went to Lijiang by bus. We waited over one hour to go to Lijiang. When we 6 there; it was almost in the evening. After a short rest, we had a picnic and enjoyed the old streets under the moon. I really enjoyed 7 around this city.

We went to Kunming," the spring city", on the third day. We visited Dianchi, watched the birds and went to the flower market. This trip was full of fun. 8 we were a little tired, we had a happy day.

The 9 trip was over soon. It's time to go back home. 10 amazing place Yunnan is! I will never forget the days I spent in Yunnan and hope to visit it again.
