When I am young, it is like the spring of my life. I am a student, and I learn many new things there but I don't feel tired. After school, I do sports and play games with classmates happily. I grow up and become (变得) taller and stronger. 

When I am twenty-two years old, I finish school life with a good grade. So it's not difficult to get a good job as a nurse(护士), after that, I don't have much time to play. I need to work hard to make money for my family because I get married (结婚) and have my child, a lovely daughter. During this time, it's like the summer of my life. 

One day I find white hair on my head. The days are short, and the nights are long. Leaves fall down from the trees. I know fall is coming. But it also means rich. The farmers are happy because of harvest (丰收). My child gets her job as a teacher and gets married too. I love my family very much and enjoy my life. 

At 60 years old, I don't need to go to work—I get retired. My parents are getting older and they need more help. Time goes fast, just like winter's coming. Sometimes I feel lonely and can not play football like young people. Of course, everyone needs to face it. But I have free time to do what I like. That's also great, right? 

Cai Zongqi is a teacher from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Having lived in the United States for nearly 40 years, he has spent around 30 years sharing his understanding of Chinese literature (文学) 1 his students.

Ye Lianping is a 96- year- old re tired teacher from a village in Anhui Province. He has been teaching left- behind children there for free during the past 24 years. 

Teaching has always been an important part of Ye's life. After he retired, he began offering free English- language classes to left- behind children. He first set up a classroom in his own house. Later, with the help of the government, he got another two classrooms. To provide education for more children, he also set up the Ye Lianping Scholarship Fund with almost all his money and the donations（捐赠物） from others. So far, it has helped hundreds of left- behind children. 

Ye is quite generous（慷慨的） to these children, but he spends very little money on himself. He lives a very simple life. He lives with his wife in a house built over 30 years ago. He never buys any drinks. And he has been wearing the same jacket for over 40 years.
