John is a barista(咖啡师). He has got the first prize in the city's Barista of the Year competition. Peter, a reporter,1 him for City People Magazine.

Peter:Congratulations, John!

John:Thanks. The judges (裁判) said they loved my coffee—so I'm 2 .

Peter: Why do you like to be a barista?

John: I love making coffee for people. I take a lot of care to make people love it.

Peter: Where do you work?

John: In a cafe in the city center. It is always 3 because it's full of people all the time. I start my work at 6:00 in the morning. When the earliest customers (顾客) come into my cafe, the first thing they get is a cup of coffee to start their working day! I try to remember the taste and4 of each person. For example, a lady named Sandy ordered a latte (拿铁) every day.

Big Ben is not the name of a man. It's the name of a big clock in London. This clock has four faces. So, no matter where you stand, you can read the time on the face of Big Ben. Each face is the size of a bus. The hands are about four meters long. If you go to London, you may want to visit the Houses of Parliament(英国议会大厦). In that place you will find Big Ben sits at the top(顶端)of the clock tower in the Houses of Parliament. You will probably hear it and see it. The big clock makes such a loud noise. It goes every quarter of an hour. Big Ben has been the most famous symbol(象征)of London.
