My grandfather lives in a small village on the east {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (东部的) coast of China. He has a house near the sea, and the house is really big {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(带有)a beautiful garden. All kinds of flowers come out in spring, every year, {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(千) of tourists come and enjoy themselves here. 

Last year, he decided to turn his house into a homestay. There are now seven {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (卧室), each one has a bathroom in it. There is also a very big living room for people to relax. People have a lot things to do there. They can take a walk on the beach after dinner, or take a{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(船) on the sea. They are never bored. 

Most people come {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(在……期间) the summer holiday. And it's the busiest time of the year. My grandfather is friendly and always ready {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(帮助) others, so he makes lots of new friends. The tourists sometimes have some basketball {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(运动项目), I often go and cheer the players. My grandfather always says, "{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(每样事物) is just all right. I really love my life here". 

Summer holiday is coming soon! I am looking forward to {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(拜访) my grandfather again. 

My dad didn't love me. My mom washed my clothes and cooked dishes. He just went to work every day and came home. He'd make a list of the 1 things I did and felt angry with me.

When I was 7, I stole a pen. He made me take it back to school and tell the boy "2 ". But my Mom understood that I was just a 3 .

I still remember 4 he taught me to ride a bicycle. I told him not to let go, 5 he said it was time. I fell and Mom ran to pick me up, but he waved(挥手) 6 off. I was so 7 that I got back on that bike and rode it myself. He didn't even feel sorry and just smiled.

When I went to college, Mom called me a lot. He 8 sent me money on WeChat without a word. But he posted(发布) a photo of his goldfish on WeChat moments(朋友圈) and said, "My goldfish look better now because my daughter can't play with them anymore."

When I called home, he acted like he didn't want to talk and he always said, "I'll get your 9 ."

When I got married(结婚), my mom cried. He just blew his nose loudly and left the room.

Did my dad love me? My mom said Dad didn't know how to 10 his love. Is it possible that he showed it but I didn't know?

On my first round-the-world trip in 2006, I planned everything out in advance. I knew where I was going, staying for how long, and how I would get there. And then half-way through I ditched the plan and went with the flow (随大流) . Over the years, how I plan my travel has changed. Now, I'm a last-minute planner and seldom travel with any plan. 

Traveling without a plan gives you great flexibility (灵活性). Since nothing is booked far in advance, you can turn to something different when you change your mind or something better comes along. I changed my plans to meet a friend on an island in Thailand and stayed for a month. I wouldn't have had that experience if I had kept to my planned schedule. 

"    ★    " — they overplan their trips. Their whole journey is scheduled. Two days here, three days there. I understand why people do that. When time is short, you want to see as much as possible. You don't want to waste a single second. 

Actually, it is better to slow down your pace. Spending more time in one place allows you to get a better feel for the rhythm of life. You can visit at a more relaxed pace, see more than just the attractions, and open up your schedule to the happy accidents of travel. 

When I first made my travel plan, I tried to include everything in it. Then I realized it was unrealistic, and reviewed my plan. I came up with a list of one or two things I want to see each day and spaced everything out. It's an important lesson to learn. I think the best trip plan is to work out the general path you want to take, book the first few nights of your trip, and let your travels unfold from there. This way you are never locked into a certain place if your feelings change.
