Did you ever eat cartoon steamed buns (馒头)? If not, you can b{#blank#}1{#/blank#}them in Bi Chenggong's shop.

Bi is from Inner Mongolia (内蒙古), China. He looks a little heavy. You may wonder if he can make those lovely steamed buns. The a{#blank#}2{#/blank#}is yes, and he is really good at that.

About six years ago, Bi found many people liked to buy creative steamed buns to show their best wishes w{#blank#}3{#/blank#}they celebrate their children's 12th birthday. However, there were few creative steamed bun shops in Hohhot (呼和浩特). So he d{#blank#}4{#/blank#}to open one.

To learn h{#blank#}5{#/blank#}to make cute steamed buns, Bi read cookbooks and watched videos online. He even went to Shandong and Shanxi to learn f{#blank#}6{#/blank#}local people. He also tried and practiced really hard. "That's very important," he said.

Bi's steamed buns are lovely. They are in different s{#blank#}7{#/blank#}_ , such as Peppa Pig, Mickey Mouse and Snow White. Bi is s{#blank#}8{#/blank#}about the food materials (材料), too. Although his steamed buns are colourful, they are healthy. The colours are from v{#blank#}9{#/blank#}like spinach (菠菜) and carrots. Children like them very much and call him "Steamed bun man". Bi is g{#blank#}10{#/blank#}about that. He promises to make more cartoon steamed buns for them.

A Meaningful Holiday

Hello, I'm Tom.  I come from Cuba (古巴), but recently I moved to China.  I started a new school life here.  It was a big change for me because the school life in China is quite different from that in Cuba. 

School in China starts at 8:00 a. m.  and ends at 4:00 p. m.  The new school is much better than my old school in Cuba.  For example, it is bigger and more beautiful than my old one.  I thought that I might be lost in the first week.  Luckily my new classmate Wang Lei is very friendly.  He showed me around the school.  He is my good friend now.  We always study and eat together.  We go to the canteen for lunch.  The cooks in the canteen cook various (多样的) traditional (传统的) Chinese foods.  They are very delicious.  I hope that one day I can also learn to cook Chinese dishes. 

In China, we don't have so much homework to do every day.  After school, I only have to do my homework for about twenty minutes.  I can go to sleep early.  It's good for my health. 

I start enjoying my school life here.  I am always having so much fun!

 On May 12,2008,a magitude-8.0 earthquake hit Wenchuan,Niu Yu,an11-year-old girl,lost her right leg in the disaster.

 The first time I removed the outer prosthesis(假肢) around my leg, I was so1 that my whole body was shaking. At that moment, I remembered lying in the hospital, looking at the ceiling(天花板), but seeing only2 . I had no idea what a prosthetic leg was. All I knew was that I wouldn't be able to run anymore. 

 As it turned out, I felt sad for years. I wanted to be a"normal" girl, but it seemed 3 . I did anything I could to hide. But one day, my father told me something I'll never 4 : If you want to live a good life, you must 5 your body as it is. 

 My 6 only grew when I took part in for a teaching program in Tibet. And I started running again. In 2018, I ran Wenchuan's half marathon. After I ran to the finishing line, I pulled off the outer cover and showed my prosthetic leg— it was so cool!

 In October 2021, I was invited to walk in a show in Shanghai. I'd never received any training before, 7 I was nervous when I stepped out onto the runway, prosthetic leg first. Then, I remembered a 8 I'd received from a fan. She told me that her dream was to become a model, but losing a leg made it impossible. She had seen many disabled models abroad, but she had9 seen one in China. 

 Suddenly, I felt powerful. I realized that I was standing on that runway not just as myself, but as someone who stood for everyone that was just like me. I was there not to look 10 , I was there for me— and them— to feel seen. 

I want to be a{#blank#}1{#/blank#} of a radio programme. To make my dream come true, I need to learn a lot about the {#blank#}2{#/blank#}this job. I hope to work on {#blank#}3{#/blank#}around the world. I also hope that I can have the chance to meet famous presenters {#blank#}4{#/blank#}.I will work hard and news keep trying.
