Sometimes, our stomachs make noises to tell us to feed them. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} After that, we eat something. However, millions of poor children around the world can't do that. 

Most of the time, those children don't get enough to eat. When they do get some food, it's often cheap and has very little nutrition（营养）. 

{#blank#}2{#/blank#} It makes them weak, and they can't fight off disease easily. So, they are easy to get sick. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} So, some do badly in their classes. 

Childhood hunger is a big problem, but we can do some things. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} They give children meals at break and after school. 

{#blank#}5{#/blank#} For thirty dollars a month, you give them food and meet other important needs. Moreover, you give them a chance of happiness in life.

Several months {#blank#}2{#/blank#}, a university student left her personal computer in a sports center. Then a man picked {#blank#}3{#/blank#} up. Without thinking twice, the man stayed in the sports center to wait for the owner. Two hours later, the {#blank#}4{#/blank#} came back hurriedly. She looked very {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. When she saw her lost personal computer, she was excited {#blank#}6{#/blank#} moved. To thank the man, she wanted to give some {#blank#}7{#/blank#} to him, but the man refused politely.

According to the Civil Code (《民法典》), when you find something {#blank#}8{#/blank#} accident, you must not keep it as your own. You can {#blank#}9{#/blank#} the owner to get it or you can hand it over to the police. If the lost things are very {#blank#}10{#/blank#} and the finder keeps them on purpose, he or she will be punished.

It's nice to return things we've found. It's also necessary for us to know that giving back lost things is required by law.

 How do you feel when your teacher asks you to work on a group project with other students? Do you like to work together with others or work alone?

 The Programme for International Student Assessment, or PISA, carried out a survey on students' abilities to work together in groups. They found that students who do well on tests by themselves are also likely to be better at working with other people.

 This finding was true for many countries. Students in Japan, South Korea, Finland and Canada, where test scores are high, also did well in working together to solve problems.

 But this was not the case for every country. Chinese students, who achieve good grades, showed only average abilities to work together.

"One reason might be that Chinese parents and teachers focus too much on grades," said Zhao Zhongxin, former vice president of the Chinese Family Education Association. "Students have a lot of exam pressure and they view school as a place for competition."

"However, collaborative(合作的) skills are very important to prepare students for today's society," he added. "Luckily, more Chinese parents and teachers are realizing the importance of this and are thinking of ways to help students improve this skill."

 Another interesting finding from the PISA survey was that girls tend to be better than boys at working together. They said girls show more positive attitudes(积极的态度) towards relationships, which means they are more willing to listen to others' opinions.

PISA also found that the classroom environment tends to influence how well students collaborate. In classes where there are a lot of activities that require communication, such as class debates, students tend to have better attitudes toward collaborating.
