I'm Eason. I {#blank#}1{#/blank#} in "New York with my family. I like reading very much, and I have many books at {#blank#}2{#/blank#}, I'm in the school book club now. There're{#blank#}3{#/blank#}students and three teachers in the club. We meet from 7:00 to 8:00 {#blank#}4{#/blank#}  Wednesday afternoon. We usually{#blank#}5{#/blank#}about one book together. Our teacher {#blank#}6{#/blank#} asks us some questions about the book. All of us want to answer them, because it's interesting {#blank#}7{#/blank#}a game. We can borrow (借) a book from the club, but we must take it back {#blank#}8{#/blank#}  It's fun joining the book club, because we can also make {#blank#}9{#/blank#} friends here. There's a new book {#blank#}10{#/blank#}every month in the club. I like the show very much and I never miss (错过)it!

①My daughter's pet fish is dying. Recently I find myself spending minutes and even hours staring at the clear round bowl, hoping for another performance of its wonderful dance. To be honest, I am not a fish person. Compared with cats and dogs, fish can neither play nor walk with me. To me, they are just so boring.

②But every morning now, I tap on the bowl, shake out some fish food and carefully throw it into the bowl, hoping the fish can eat it with the least effort. I try to make the fish more comfortable. Yet there's so little that I can do. The fish just remains still (一动不动的) at the bottom of the bowl.

③"Come on! Eat something!" I say. And suddenly I realize that somebody said the exact same sentences to me before. Many times.

④I think of the banana pancakes that my mother would serve me every time I became sick and stayed in bed. They were my favorite treat and always made me feel much better. "Come on! Eat something! Your body needs to be strong!" My mom would always say. What made me even warmer was the idea that she would always, always be there when I needed her.

⑤Many years later, I tried to do the same when my mother became sick. She was only 61 but seemed to get weaker every day. "Would you like some green tea?" Again and again, I would ask, "What about some cake? Hot chocolate? Strawberries?" I gently encouraged her to eat because I didn't know what else to do. "Please, Mom! Eat something! Your body needs to be strong!" But she would not. There she was, lying still on the bed, with her eyes closed. That was the last time I saw her.

⑥The fish is still lying at the bottom of the bowl. I stare at it and suddenly a familiar (熟悉的) face comes into my mind. Then I say in a low voice, "Mom, ▲ ."

Mike is a twelve-year-old boy. He lives with his 1 in a small town. One day, Mike has a fight* with one of his classmates. After school, he tells his story to his grandfather angrily."The boy is bad,"Mike says,"I don't 2 him."

The grandfather says,"Don't be angry. Let me tell you a story. When I am a boy, I also hate* others for what they do. I often fight with my classmates 3 lessons. That's why many classmates don't like me at all. It makes me so sad."

As the boy 4 carefully, the grandfather looks at him and goes on,"Later on, I think about this problem for a very long time. I find that there are always 5 tigers in my body. One is good and kind. He gets on well with everything around him. 6 the other is bad and unfriendly. He fights with everything all the time, and for no reason. He can't think carefully because he always hates others. It is 7 to live with these two tigers inside my body. They both try to control* me."

The little boy looks into his grandfather's eyes and asks,"8 tiger always controls you, grandfather?"The old man says slowly,"The one that I feed*. I always feed the good and kind tiger, so I 9 get angry or hate others now."

Mike says,"I'd like to feed the good tiger like 10 and someday I hope I can become the class monitor and other classmates will like me!"

Sara is fourteen years old. She gets up at seven o'clock in the morning and has breakfast at seven thirty. Then she goes to school by bus. After the lessons she plays in the park with her friends and they like flying kites. Sara goes home at five o'clock in the afternoon. She has dinner with her mother and father. Her father likes cooking and he is good at it! Sara goes to bed at half past nine in the evening.

Sara likes doing sports. She often plays football. She thinks it is interesting! But she doesn't like playing basketball. In summer, Sara likes to go camping (野营) with her grandpa. She doesn't like to help her grandma in the garden (花园). It's not interesting!

Ben was a boss. When he was young, he didn't work hard. So he knew {#blank#}1{#/blank#} about the world, and he was often laughed at in public and sometimes he got into trouble. So he {#blank#}2{#/blank#} a lot of books and shelves and put them in his sitting room so that the visitors could see them as soon as they went in. He often went to the parties and listened to {#blank#}3{#/blank#} other men said carefully. He hoped to make friends with them.

Once Ben was told that it was a famous professor's birthday that day. He hurried there with his {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. He gave the professor (教授)some expensive presents and the old man {#blank#}5{#/blank#} him very much. After dinner they began to talk {#blank#}6{#/blank#} some famous books. He could hardly answer {#blank#}7{#/blank#} questions. The professor asked him the easiest one, "What was Shakespeare" "It was a {#blank#}8{#/blank#} of drink," answered Ben. "But people do not like it now. " The professor had a smile and soon he stopped talking with Ben. On {#blank#}9{#/blank#}way home, Ben's wife said, "You {#blank#}10{#/blank#}a mistake just now. Shakespeare is a kind of cake, like the Chinese mooncake." 

My best friend Marcela and I are schoolmates. If you ask me to 1 her, I will say she is very pretty. She has long black 2 , round eyes and a small nose. She is not very tall, but not short either. 

Marcela and I like 3  interesting things together. She is a funny person and always makes me 4 .

We are interested in the 5  things. We both enjoy listening to music, playing the 6 and singing. The guitar club is our favorite place. We also like going to the 7 to see movies. Sometimes during the summer holidays, we go to the beaches with our family. We usually 8 most of the day swimming or walking. Sometimes we go fishing, although we can hardly get any 9 .

Since I am better at math and science and she is better at English, we can always 10  each other with our homework. I can't imagine(想象)my life without her. I hope that our friendship will last forever(永远)，
