I haven't seen my teacher Mr. Jenkins since I finished school, but I often think about him. I wasn't good at most school {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. The only thing that I could remember is where the rain comes from! However, when I was 15 and went in Mr. Jenkins' class, everything changed. 

Before I {#blank#}2{#/blank#} by Mr. Jenkins, science had simply been a subject full of strange words to me. I didn't know what CO2 was and I didn't really want to know, {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. I found it so boring and difficult, but Mr. Jenkins made everything interesting. He used to teach things {#blank#}4{#/blank#} seemed difficult with lots of examples and in simple language. One day, he even took us outside and built a rocket! I remember that he let us {#blank#}5{#/blank#} some fuel（燃料）into the rocket, and then another student lit a match to set {#blank#}6{#/blank#} off. It was great fun. 

I know that I wasn't smart, {#blank#}7{#/blank#} Mr. Jenkins made me feel that I had my own strengths. Then, I became {#blank#}8{#/blank#} active student in learning new things. I was {#blank#}9{#/blank#} in the study of the stars and planets and he asked me to give a report to the class. Now I take a job as a science teacher {#blank#}10{#/blank#} Mr. Jenkins.

I start my first day of school at junior high today! I can't believe this day has finally arrived.

What I am thinking about m{#blank#}1{#/blank#}me nervous（紧张的）. After all, I was one of the leaders at my old school. The younger students all looked u{#blank#}2{#/blank#}to us sixth graders. Now, I am going to be a new kid all over again and I am going to have to make new friends.

I am not alone. All of us going into the junior high are in the same b{#blank#}3{#/blank#}. In fact, I am not w{#blank#}4{#/blank#} about being a new junior high school student. I am excited about it! I am excited about all the different s{#blank#}5{#/blank#}I get to study.

The letter I got last week from my new school says that this Friday will be Club Day. There are a lot of a{#blank#}6{#/blank#}at my new school. I think I might take p{#blank#}7{#/blank#} in the Film Making Club. Dad told me that a good w{#blank#}8{#/blank#}   to make new friends is to meet people who share your hobbies.

I will miss my old friends when I am in this new school, but I know there will be at least three other students from my primary school. I also know that I can talk with my old friends even if we no longer go to the s{#blank#}9{#/blank#}school.

I am so excited now! Mum, Dud, Grandma, and Grandpa are all excited for me as well. I think I am going to enjoy m{#blank#}10{#/blank#}at the junior high school after all. I am looking forward to a great year and an exciting new world!

"To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, to draw closer, to find each other and to feel. That is the purpose of life." These words come from my favorite movie, Daydreamer. They are always kept in my mind. The movie, directed by Brahman Turner, taught me to live my own life and to do something 1 . Inspired by the movie, I started to learn skateboarding last summer vacation.

The first 2 are always the hardest. I still remember the first day. The 3 was not great. I fell over again and again. I found skateboarding was a(n) 4 sport for beginners because you may fall over many times like I did. But falling cannot be 5 for anyone. I wore a helmet and protective gear(装备) to help keep safe. I practiced all day until sunset that day. For the next few days, I practiced hard every day. I knew that practice makes perfect. And 6 , I could skateboard. I was so proud of that.

However, as I 7 with my hobby, I met quite a few challenges. I still practiced hard for the rest of that 8 , though made little progress. Unluckily, I hurt my knee. When the summer vacation was over, I had to return to school. But I knew I would 9 skateboarding again later because it is fun and brings me joy.

It is important that we do what we love and keep doing it throughout our life. As a song goes, "One day you'll leave this world behind, so live a life you will not 10 ."

Once upon a time, there was a king. He always worried about what might happen, the future. One day, the king noticed a cobbler（修鞋匠）. Although he wore ragged（破旧的）clothes, he was very happy. Why could he smile so brightly? The king decided to find out the reason. 

The next day, the king dressed in rags and followed the cobbler home. 

"Please, sir, can you give some food to me?" asked the king. 

"Of course," said the cobbler. 

"Why are you so happy?"

"Today I made enough money by repairing shoes to buy the bread."

"But what will happen if you don't make enough money for food tomorrow?"

"I have confidence. Everything will be fine."

This touched the king. But he wondered what would happen if the cobbler couldn't make enough money. So the next day, the king didn't allow anyone to repair shoes. The cobbler didn't know why, but he wasn't sad. Whenhe saw some villagers trying to carry water home, he helped them and got a little money from them. 

That evening the king went to the coobler's house again. The cobbler was having soup and smiling. 

"How could you pay for the food today?" asked the king. 

"I made money by helping the villagers carry water," said the cobbler. "But what will you do tomorrow?"

"I have confidence. Everything will be fine."

"Your confidence has driven away my fear about the future. Thank you." said the king. 

Judie's class was studying Chinese culture. One day, her teacher went into the classroom 1 some kites. He told them that kites 2 in China more than 2, 000 years ago. At the end of the class, he said, "The Chinese make kites that mean something important to them. I expect each of you 3 a kite that means something important to you. You will have a 4 understanding of kites than before. "

Judie decided to ask her dad for help as it was 5 first time to make a kite. 

"What do you think of when your see a kite?" her dad asked. 

Judie thought for a moment and 6 , "Butterflies. "

Judie's dad agreed that it would be a good idea to make a butterfly kite. They made a cross with some wood sticks, 7 then Judie painted a butterfly on a piece of white paper. Next they stuck the paper on the cross. Finally they tied a long tail to the bottom. 

The next morning, they took 8 kite to the park and tested it. "Wow!" she cried proudly. "9 high my butterfly flies!"

"Judie, can you tell me 10 butterflies?" asked her dad. 

Judie replied, "To me, butterflies mean beauty and freedom!"
