Today was hot.  I went to the farm (农场) with my parents.  There was a river near the farm.  I went to the river with my dog.  We ran and played.  Suddenly I dropped (掉进) into the river, "Help, Help. . . "My dog jumped into (跳进) the river and swam to me.  Ten minutes later, I was saved (救).  I was grateful to him.  We are good friends. 

This Saturday is Amy's birthday. Her friends want to have a party for her. Lily wants to eat apples. Mike wants to drink orange juice. Kate wants to eat hamburgers. Kelly wants to drink lemonade. Vivian doesn't like orange juice or lemonade. She wants to drink Coke. They will bring these things to the party. It must be a happy day. 

Today is Lisa's birthday. She has a birthday party at home. Peter, Jack and Kate come to Lisa's home. They are going to celebrate Lisa's birthday. They give their presents to Lisa. Lisa feels very happy.

The birthday party begins at 5:30 pm. First, they light the candles on the cake. Then they sing the birthday song. Lisa makes a wish. Then she blows out the candles. After that, Lisa cuts the cake. She gives each one a piece of cake. The children also have some candy and jelly. They have a good time!

In Germany, the carnival season（狂欢季）is an important national holiday. It begins in each November, and ends on the third Tuesday of February of the next year. The third Monday of February is the peak (高峰). On that day, people usually wear masks, and dress as strangely as they wish. Cologne(科隆) is popular and it's the central city to hold the celebration. Many tourists around the world go to Cologne to enjoy the beers and share the happiness with the people there every year. 

This year, I went to Germany and had a chance to celebrate the carnival season. It was really exciting. A little boy had his face painted like a lion and stayed with his young father. An old man put a very big nose on his nose, hand in hand with his wife. People shouted and cheered when the trucks in all kinds of shapes, passed. People on the top of the trucks spread sweets around. The louder people on the ground shouted, the more sweets would fly to them. Children were rushing to the sweets on the ground and put them in their very big bags. 

That was really an amazing holiday!

Lily went to Sanya with her friends on her holiday. They went there by train. They went to the beautiful beach. The weather was sunny and hot. So they had great fun playing in the water. They ate lots of fresh fish for lunch. In the afternoon, they rode bikes. Jack fell off his bike and hurt his leg. So Jack stayed at the hotel and watched TV. On the second day, Lily took many pictures of the sea.  Anyway, they had a good time.
