Liu Lingli is a teacher. She works in a special education(特殊教育) school in Hengyang, Hunan. She goes to work on foot every day. Her job is to help deaf(聋的) children learn to speak.

For these children with hearing problems, she is not only a teacher, but also a mother. She spends(花费)a lot of time on them. She teaches them words and sentences. It's not easy, but she never gives up.

When the children say "Thank you" or "I love you", it is the most beautiful sound in the world for Ms Liu. She feels very happy. Over the past 33 years, she taught more than 80 students. Among them, more than 20 went to universities. She helps these children realize(实现) their dreams and change their futures.

She is a true hero(英雄). We should learn from her.

不同的工作体验

Daniel is 26 years old. He wants to learn about his country and experience(体验) different obs. So he travels around the USA for a year. He visits all 50 states(州) in the USA and works for a week in every state. He travels by car from job to job. He gets money from these jobs.

Daniel thinks some jobs are not easy. In week 7, he works as a farmer on a farm. The days are long. He gets really dirty. In week 38, he is a cook in a fish restaurant. That is really hard! He often has no time to drink water.

Other jobs are fun. He works as a postman in a post office and as a fisherman at sea. He is a  football coach in a gym. At a shop in Alaska, he is a photographer(摄影师). "That's great. Alaska is a very beautiful place,"says Daniel.

Hand in Hand

Hello, everyone. I am Amy. This is my new friend Sally from the village school. She lives near a nature park. The nature park is big. There are two lakes in the park. She often goes boating there on the weekend. She gets up early and goes to bed early every day. Sally doesn't watch TV or play with a computer too much. She thinks it's not good for her eyes. She likes sports. She often swims and plays ping-pong. These sports make her strong.Sally also eats lots of vegetables and fruit. She likes fruit but not bananas.

Sally is hard-working, too. Her English is not good. She often asks me for help. She doesn't go out to play on Fridays because she has English after school on that day. She studies hard.

I'm Jack. This is my family. We are at home. My mother is in the bedroom. She is taking care with my sister. My father is in the kitchen. He is cooking (煮饭）. Where is my little brother Tom? He is in the living room. He is playing with a toy . He likes it very much. I'm in the toilet. I love my family very much.

The Big Parade

On October 1st in 2019，to celebrate the 70th birthday of the People's Republic of China（中华人民共和国），there was a big parade on Tian'anmen Square.100，000 people and 70 floats（巡游花车） joined the parade.There were workers，farmers，teachers，students，and the Chinese women's volleyball players.I was one of them.As a Young Pioneer（少先队员），I stood on a colourful float with many other primary school students.We waved flowers.We sang and danced.We all wished our motherland a happy birthday and a glorious future（光明的未来）.That was the most exciting day in my life.I will never forget it.I am so proud of my motherland!
